Diverse workforce is related with the employ people from different backgrounds in terms of
culture, religions, race and ethnicity. The recruitment of such underrepresented employees
into the organization helps in getting competitive advantage (Pearl-Martinez & Stephens,
2016). I agree with the statement that diversity provides competitive advantage in terms of
creativity and dealing with the ethnically diverse population.
The employment of diverse workforce into the organization is concerned to be the major
strategy for the organization as it brings different perspectives into the organization. This
diversity helps the organization to get the competitive advantage and maximize the
productivity as it promotes creativity at the workplace. As diversity helps in dealing with
different backgrounds, it helps in making innovation at the workplace through the facilitation
of different perspectives and solutions for various business problems (Harvey & Allard,
2015). Further, when a group of people have different cultures and religions, they have the
tendency to come up with the innovative ideas that can be beneficial for the organization. The
organization can get the access to different languages when the organization gets different
culture experiences which can enhance the international relations and also get the global
market presence. Further, diversity is essential for every business and improve the
productivity of the of business through the ongoing creativity and innovation that can
facilitate in the business profits.
Further, I agree that organization makes efforts for the diverse workforce that can make sure
that the organization meets the needs of the diverse workforce and also helps in the serving of
the diverse populations within the marketplace. Further, the organization recruits the diverse
workforce which later adds to the creativity of the people that leads to the competitive
advantage through the recruitment of ethnically diverse population (Cho, et al., 2017).
Also, the organization strives for diversity in order to adapt to the changing needs of the
nation and leading to more innovative and creative workforce within the workplace. It is
important for the organization as it provides the opportunity for building reputation and
attracting qualified personnel. However, it is also been seen that the people within the
organization have to deal with the diverse people which can bring diverse demographics and
thereby creates an efficiency for dealing with ethnically diverse workforce. This can bring
productivity for the organization in order to get the different opinions on different
perspectives that can lead to more profits for the organization (Brunow & Nijkamp, 2018).
