INTRODUCTIONHealthcare entity needs to implement several changes in the care provision so that betterservices can be delivered to the patients. In this respect, the present research study has beenemphasizing on Rosewood Centre which requires several development and modifications in thehealth care entity. Thus, in this context discussion has been included regarding roles andresponsibilities of new health care manager in Rosewood Centre. Researcher is also discussingthe theoretical implementation of change management in the care entity with suitable references.TASK1Discuss Syed’s roles and responsibilities as a new healthcare manager in maintaining quality inRosewood CentreAddressing the case scenario, it can be said that Rosewood Centre requires many changesin the health care entity as several problems are arising in the entity. Since, Natasha leftRosewood as she has to start her another centre; therefore at her place, Syed is given theresponsibility (Wang, 2005). While assessing organizational aspects, it is being analysed thatthere are various areas that needs changes and modifications which can underpin organizationalservices. Therefore, as a new health care manager, it is essential for Syed to focus primarily onquality facets so that value of services can be enhanced. With the help of quality dimensions, interest of patient can be protected and better services can also delivered to the end users(Todnem, 2005).According to the areas of requirements, suitable changes should be made in the healthcare entity. Firstly, there must be proper formulation of organisational policies and proceduresand that should be made mandatory to follow. Apart from this, Syed has to look upon the style ofleadership which typically encourages the followers to consider organizational procedures.Since, Syed is the new leader for Rosewood Centre; therefore it is crucial for him to manageinterest of team members in appropriate manner (Thomas and et. al., 2001). At the same time, itis also essential for Syed to appoint quality procedures in the health care entity so that value ofamenities can be enhanced. Quality measures are required to be undertaken in the same area ofconcern so that the provision of better services can be developed. In this respect, Syed will have to set some benchmarks so that all the employees workingin Rosewood Centre can adhere to the same. Apart from this, Syed is also required to focus on3
analysing if all the employees are following the quality standards. Various quality managementprovision are must to be applied in the health care entity so that patients can be deliveredappropriate services. Along with the same, it can also be said that Syed will have to look uponmanagement of staff interest which only aids Rosewood to deliver suitable services to thepatients. Syed is also required to organize different training and coaching sessions so as toincrease the efficiency of staff members (Okoye and Ezejiofor, 2013). Further for children’sneeds, Syed must look upon the requirements that are being generated at the health care entity. Itis also observed that staff members of Rosewood do not present at the centre most of the time;henceforth for such respect there must be suitable follow up of all the procedures. It is highly essential for the health care manager (Syed) to emphasize on controlling andmonitoring aspects so that organizational values and services can be developed. Similarly, this isalso useful for analysing the performance of employees and accordingly; the areas ofimprovements can be found out (Leban and Stone, 2007). This can aid in amending the efficacyof services. Being a health care manager, it is also essential for Syed to adopt necessaryprovisions especially for maintaining patient’s interest. Moreover, in this respect Syed is alsorequired to emphasize on adoption of changes so that service provision can be enhancedaccordingly.Syed will be entitled to develop proper schedules and on that basis, children are requiredto attend the centre and that needs to be mandatory to adhere. Health care manager is alsoentitled to undertake several measures to enhance staff motivation level. For such thing, it iscrucial for Syed to give motivational benefits to the staff members so that they can handle alltheir activities in effective manner (LANSBURY and BAMBER, 2013). Along with this, theremust be fixed charges for the parents while visiting their children and that should not be changedin any respect.TASK2Conduct a SWOT analysis of RosewoodStrengthsWeaknessesServices for children having special needsConsistent staff turnoverRosewood Centre has different provisions forchildren having special needsLack of motivational benefitsChildren attend classes after getting backTight schedule for children4
