INTRODUCTIONUnderstanding and leading change is an aspect in which employees are trained to dealwith changing situation in an effective manner. These changes are required when an organisationtransits itself from current state to desired future state. Managing these changes are not possiblewithout appropriate planning and implementation of policies (Anderson, 2016). This assignmentis based on Midsummer House which is a medium sized restaurant, headquartered in Cambridge,England, UK. Manager of this restaurant want to implement some changes in the operations andprocess of organisation. This report involves impacts due to change in organisational operation &strategy along with internal and external drivers which have an affect on team, individualbehaviour & leadership. Also, different barriers for change are discussed. At last, variousleadership approaches are mentioned which are required to deal with change in context of anorganisation.TASK 1P1 Compare various example where there has been impact due to change in organisationoperations and strategyChange is treated as a Constant force within an organisation. In some cases, thesechanges takes place because a company is growing or sometimes because company wishes toachieve organisational objectives in a better way. It is concerned with modifying or transformingthe process or structure of a company. These changes have a considerable impact on the mannerin which employees of a firm carry-out business operations. To enhance their profits andcustomer base, a company can modify their mission, vision, objectives and policies anytime.Here two medium sized organisations has been taken i.e. Midsummer house and Chez Bruce. Intoday's scenario, every individual wants to sustain a healthy and balanced life. Due to this,customers have changed their preference form oily & spicy food to oil free and nutritious food.To cater the needs of clients, both organisations i.e. Midsummer house and Chez Bruce havedecided to implement change in their working pattern (Ashley and Empson, 2013). They havedecided to improve their food quality by incorporating healthy ingredients in their dishes. Due tothis, both restaurants have decided to adopt considerable changes in their strategies andoperations. 1

BasisMidsummer House Chez BruceOrganisational Strategy Strategy is a long term planwhich helps an organisation inachieving organisational visionand goals. To cater thechanging needs of clients, it isvery important for MidsummerHouse to change its productionand promotional strategies. Production strategy: Underthis strategy, company needsto eliminate unhealthy andunsaturated food items whichresults in health issues likeheat disease, cholesterol etc.Manager of Midsummer houseneeds to add healthyingredients and more greenvegetables in their dishes. Dueto this, nutritional value ofdishes offered by them willincrease and more customerswill like to buy them.Promotional strategy: Earlierrestaurant was focusing onpromoting their fast foodbecause of wide popularity.But as preference of customershave changed, in accordance tothat their menu is alsochanged. Now they areIt is a medium sized restaurantin UK which offers fast foodand other eatables to theircustomers. According to thechanging demand ofcustomers, manager ofrestaurant have decided tochange their production andpromotional strategies.Production strategy:Manager in restaurant havedecided to hire a nutritionist sothat proper direction must begiven to employees whilepreparing dishes for customers.Along with this, owner ofChez Bruce have decided toremove unsaturated fats formtheir eatables so that customersdon't have to compromise withtheir health while consumingtheir products.Promotional strategy:Company has planned tochange their promotionaltactics by introducing theirnew dishes to customers onfree basis as samples.
