The name of the project was Doha Festival City or
DFC. The location of this particular project was in Doha. The project started in the month of Julyin 2015 and ended in the month of February 2017. The total value of this project was 1.6 BillionUS Dollars and the total value of the facade contract was 27.4 Million US Dollars. The client ofDoha Festival City project was BASREC. The consultant of Doha Festival City project wasAEB. The main contractor of this project was ALEC/GCC-JV and the facade contractor of thisproject was Qatar Technical Aluminium. CE 3.3.2 Objectives developed for the projectThe Doha Festival City is the largest mall in Qatar with area 600,000 square metres, with240,000 square metres of leasable space. This largest mall is located in Doha, Qatar. The DohaFestival City mall houses about 540 shops, 100 restaurants and cafes, a cinema; anAngry BirdsThemed amusement park and an indoor snow park.The objectives of this project are as follows:To provide shops, restaurants, cafes, cinema hall for the publicTo serve the children by providing anAngry Birds Themed amusement park and anindoor snow parkCE 3.3.3 My Area of WorkI was the Senior QA/ QC Engineer of this project from July 2015 to December 2015 andQA/ QC Manager from January 2016 to February 2017. Being the Senior Quality Assurance /Quality Control Engineer, my area of work is to look after the overall quality of the project DohaFestival City and also for helping my juniors and sub ordinates to maintain the project. I had tobe sure that there is no loophole in case of quality as this was a public project. Moreover, thechildren will be involved in the project and therefore, the quality should be crossed checked I
have used my intense civil engineering skills and knowledge for the fulfilment of the duties inmy area of work.
