Fishbone diagram Domain Analysis LC will have to develop an e-commerce business system where customers, especially the contract clients can make orders for products online, be able to track them, have access credentials to use the system, make secure payments, and view their transaction history. The e-commerce system will therefor have other sub systems for it to work effectively as illustrated below;
The LC e- commerce system will function with several other subsystems; there is a database system for the products offered by the company and another database of contract and other clients(JunHua, 2011). To ensure the business is always running, there is need for a cloud backup and restore system to ensure business process continuity(Hildebrand, 2015). The system will require a purpose built, database driven e-commerce website to act as the primary point of interaction between the clients and LC and so must be designed with the principles and elements of human computer interaction (Thomas, 2019; Zheng et al., 2009). Social media has become ubiquitous, as a platform for user generated content, an advertising platform, and a customer service platform and so LC must have a social media presence linked with the e-commerce website. The system must incorporate a secure payment processing gateway that gives the contract clients several secure options for making payments(Osman, 2019). The system must work with a financial accounting system for purposes of handling issues of accounts (sales, revenues, costs, human resources) and also have an inventory and logistics portal to manage inventory; clients should get what they need whenever they need it while LC must re-order items whenever a specific threshold is reached(Huemer, 2012). A real time order tracking system is also needed, in addition to a security (user authentication) system.
