INTRODUCTION
Policy is defined as the law, regulation, procedure, plan and the proper action which is taken
place in order to make the approach which is reliable in order to provide the proper practice of
the government and other institution. In this, the policy decision that is frequently reflected in
order to provide the resource allocation (Bettinger-Lopez, and Bro, 2020). Therefore, the health
is generally influenced by the term of policies which is made with the different sector and
organisation. In this report, the selected policy is used to make the relevant approach which help
to determine the various path and ways which is reliable in order to take the preventive aspect
that is taken in order to make the approach that is compatible. In this report, the major of
discussion is well focus on the policy which is used for the prevention of domestic violence. In
this, the policy is well named as the victim support that is showing the context of survivor justice
in which it is well defined as experience which that is related with the criminal justice system.
The report usually consists of the discussion that outline within the policy and analysis are used
to made which follow the context such as social factor that may determine within the policy
(Bhattacharya and et. al., 2020).

The organisation for the selected policy is taking into the consideration is governmental
bodies. In this, the government is defined as the domestic violence and abuse which is show the
incident or the pattern of incident of controlling, coercive, threatening behaviour, violence or
abuse between the those which is analysed with the age of 16 and more. In this, the study used to
show the aspect which is showing the concept which is prefer the context such as they are
showing the intimate partner or family member regardless of the gender and sexuality. The abuse
can show the encompass but they are limited in the context to the psychological, physical, sexual
financial and emotional (Carmody, 2018). In the context with domestic abuse which is shocking
and extensive. In this, it is difficult in order to provide the comprehensive data and information
as per the crime survey of England and Wales that is estimated that is 1.9 million adults the
experienced DA the last years. It includes 1.2 million women that is about the 7.5 percent of the
female population and the 700,000 men have the experienced. In this, the overall 26 percent of
women and the 14 percent of the men have usually show their experience domestic abuse since
the age of 16. It generally constitutes the estimated 4.3 million of women and the 2.2 million of

men. In the contrast to the policy, it is well estimated that the victim support adopts the
government definition of the domestic abuse and the service which is well designed to the fit
with the local and national partnership strategies which is showing the aim in order to made the
combat and reduce the VAWG. The victim support run with the occurrence of domestic abuse
service within the England and Wales and has network which is around 160 experts where the
domestic violence specific frontline staff. In addition, the number of trained multi crime case
worker who usually allow to get the support with the non-high risk survivors of the domestic
violence. In the context to the 2016 and 2017, there are optimum reachability that used to support

the number of reason. It is usually determined with the six main factor such as concern related
with the perpetrator, concern related with the police and the CJS, concern about the children and
the involvement of the social service, in addition, the abuse is being well normalised as the part
of social group and community. In this, the other aspect which may act as the preventive barrier
for the report is cultural aspect and community barrier which restrict the report of domestic
violence or abuse (Malathesh, Das, and Chatterjee, 2020).
As per the policy, the research is well suggested that the nature of the relationship with the
perpetrator is defined as the essential factor which may well contributed in the report that restrict
the people to report about the domestic abuse or violence. Overall, the domestic violence or

abuse is defined as the social issue which may create aspect which is related with the partner that
it creates negative impact on the life and their living. In the particular context, the fear that is
showing the approach which is related with the police which generally put the danger in the
particular pertinent as the victim which is more likely to report if it will open only with the risk

As a social issue, there are various of reason which may participate in the reporting of

a barrier and the facilitator in order to engage with the CJS (Rai, and Choi, 2018).
In the context to the domestic abuse from the police which is crucial which may help to
secure and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the survivor which may also provide the assurance
and set the tone for the future recommendation. In this, the staff is well suggested the number of
improvement to the police that respond initially when the domestic abuse is well reported. The
social issue is rising when victim is used to take the proper support from the police. In this, the
incident reporting is defined as the context which show the importance where the accurate aspect
is used to follow which may show the devise plan that is useful for the people in order to take the
preventive barrier for the domestic violence and abuse (Raifman and et. al., 2021).
Domestic violence and abuse is a serious offence and even though there are many barriers
that can prevent the victim from reporting the crime but there are still a large number reports that
are recorded every year. The number of reports rises at a relatively higher rate with each passing
year. According to an interview conducted anonymously, victims reported that the police did not
treat the victims with empathy and kindness while some others reported that the police handled
the case very well and made the people feel very safe. It is important for the police who are the
first contact for the victims after reporting the crime to treat the survivors with sensitivity and

due respect. The outcome of the findings of the survey that was conducted stated that the matters
of domestic abuse are largely a matter of police perceptions about domestic abuse and their
private stereotypes that they have about the victims of domestic abuse despite the societal
developments. It was also observed that there was considerable discretion when the matters of
domestic violence were reported along with significant variations in police recordings. Proper
recordings of these findings are important as these have a direct impact on the help the survivor
can receive from the legislation. The gender of the police staff also made a significant impact on
the reporting of abuse as many female survivors felt more comfortable in the company of fellow
females and felt intimidated, uncomfortable talking about their private matters to male officers
(Seinfeld and et. al., 2018).
The victims are entitled to receiving updates about their case that includes arresting of any
suspect or any other appropriate findings which is the duty of the police force. It is important to
conduct an effective communication process to retrieve information and to be able to navigate
through such a complicated process. Poor communication can lead to the victims disengaging in
the justice process and make it even difficult for the people to approach the police in future. A
number of VS staff members stated in a survey that the police sometimes did not understand the
severity of the situation and the extent of how manipulative perpetrators' can get.
The domestic violence disclosure scheme which was rolled out in 2014 make it necessary
for the police to obtain information about the history of violence which could help the victims
build a strong case of domestic abuse against their abusers. It is necessary to make the
environment of the court less distressing for the victim by helping them get appropriate
counselling giving them proper information about the environment of the court. Some of the
cases have reported to close just because the victim does not want to face their abuser and
therefore do not turn up at the court. Special measures are employed such as using screens or
curtains to prevent the abuser to continue their campaign of control and to alleviate the stress and
anxiety of survivors (Yari and et. al., 2021).
CONCLUSION
As per the above discussion, it is well analysed that the domestic abuse and violence is
defined as the behaviour which is negative and impact the people health and their behaviour
which is based on the psychology. In addition, the study is well helpful in order to make the plan
which is preventive and develop the scenario that is suitable for the victim in order to take the

advantage and report the incident which is heinous and may create impact which may create
complication that affect mental and psychological health. In this, the study also configure the
domestic violence is the major issue of social context.
