Domestic Women Violations1 Introduction Domestic violations against woman are one of the serious social problems in society. Domestic violation is not only limited to physical abuse or fight between couples in home; rather it is more than these things (Borges, 2017). It has adverse psychological and mental effect on the health of women and other family members including children as well. This report shows the relationship between the domestic women violation and feminist theory. This thesis also shows the drawbacks of the feminist theory in which many false and wrong explanations about women and their role in society may leads to domestic violations with women. This thesis report includes the various wrong and false perceptions of men in the society towards the women. It also shows the various causes and nature of the domestic violence against women and physical impairment. Thesis statement Domestic violations and its relationship with Feminist theory The root of domestic violations is somewhere related with the feminist theory. Feminist theory shows the inequality between genders and it also explores the constitution of gender. The feminist theory examines the roles of both women and men in the society and try to establish equality in gender, but the success or effectiveness of this theory still under consideration of many authors and researchers (Gimenez, 2016). Reason to choose this topic The main reason to choose this topic is increasing numbers of domestic women violation in all over the world. The another reason behind selecting this topic is that it has been found that there is still many social and cultural difference in the society which offer partiality between men and women. However, the liberal feminism type of points in the feminist theory focuses on the disparity in social surroundings as the basis for the women’s domination. The feminist theory is even trying to establish equality between men and women, but somewhere it is failed to create this type of mentality in society. It is the main reason behind selecting the thesis topic (Wendt, 2016). There are number of words use in feminist theory to articulate the gendered violence including intimate partner violence, gender based violence, domestic violence, violation against the women etc. The feminist theory focuses on physical and sexual violence and shows various guidelines to avoid the domestic women violations from the society. Although the feminist theory try to support the women in the society and provide them equal rights but the implementations of its suggestion still under practice and not entirely adopted by the society. The feminist theory also addresses the problem of gender inequalities in the society (Barnett, Sligar, and Wang, 2018). The gender-based violence (GVD) is a common issue in the society and it has been also addressed in the feminist theory. However, the major drawbacks of feminist theory related to domestic violations are its loosed framed definitions that do not represent the sound theory (Solanki and Gangoli, 2016). However, there is no theoretical basis for describing the domestic violations in the feminist theory. Instead of this, the definitions and explanations related to women violations widen the gap between females and males, which further leads to other problematic issues related to gender roles and identities. However, the feminist theory also explains that which type of power and privilege a woman may have and how she can exercise her power to avoid the domestic violence in her house or with his husband or other family members (Bunch, 2018). Conclusion In conclusion, there are so many bad consequences of domestic women violations on the women’s mental and physical health. The domestic women violations not only affect the health of women rather it also affects the health of children as well. However, the feminist theory provides the equality in gender and helps to understand the different situation behind the domestic violations, but it also leads to the several other domestic women violation issues
