1. Who negotiated this agreement? (1 mark)
Answer:
AV Staff Pty Ltd who was trading as Domino’s Pizza (Burton, & Soboleva, 2011).
2. Summarize who is ‘bound’ by the agreement. Why does this matter? (2 marks)
Answer:
The employer is bound by the agreement to ensure that the employee doesn’t suffer during work.
He/she also has to ensure there are friendly working conditions for the employee (Calloway,
2012).
3. What is the minimum period a casual employee will be engaged? (1 mark)
Answer:
Casual employees are to be engaged for a minimum of two consecutive ordinary hours in every
shift (Jham, & Tandon, 2012).
4. What effect does Clause 14.4 have in respect to overtime? (2 marks)
Answer:
It states that the first hour should be paid at the ordinary pay hourly rate while the rest hours will
be paid as stipulated in the subclause 14.2 (Romenti, Murtarelli, & Valentini, 2014).
5. How often will the employer meet with the union in order to ‘promote a positive
industrial relations climate’? (1 mark)

Answer:
After every six months (Shah, 2013).
6. What facilities are in place for employee travel? (1 mark)
Answer:
In cases where an employee is held up at work until its very late to travel home with the last train
or any other public conveyance, the employer will be required to provide a free proper
conveyance. Similarly, if an employee is expected to begin work so early such that he/she cannot
travel to work with the first public means, the employer will also provide a proper conveyance
free of charge. However, this offer is not for employees who have his or her own conveyance
means (Steel, 2010).
7. What does Schedule C provide in the Agreement? (3 marks)
Answer:
It contains the national employment standards
Division 2 outlines the National Employment Standards and also the detail of which is set out in
Divisions 3 to 12.
Division 13 has all the various provisions that are related to the National Employment
Standards. Part 2-1 has the duty for employers to act in accordance with the National
Employment Standards. The National Employment Standards also support what can be added in
modem awards and enterprise agreements. Divisions 2 and 3 of Part 6-3 broaden the function of
the parenta11eave provisions of the National Employment Standards to employees who are not
available in national system employees (Sumaedi, & Yarmen, 2015).
8. What entitlements are available for employees to attend medical appointments
associated with pregnancy? How does this differ from sick leave? (3 marks)
