During the starting years of life,
children or the students undergo various
changes and one of them is learning oral
language and it is also one of the most
important achievements in the process of
early development. Oral language is
something which helps the children to share
meaning with others. The oral learning
environment of children begins way before
they speak. There are various studies that
show that oral language skills in the early
years are sensitive to the home learning
environment of a child. Home learning
environment such as playing, watching T.V.,
book reading and etc. all these things have
impact on a child’s mental understanding
and mental health (Gottfried, 2013).
There are various ways in which parents can
helps the development of a child which are
disused as follows.
Telling stories: Parents should
encourage their children by telling
those stories about different
characters, adventure, happy ending
and conflicts. Parents should make
sure that the stories should be of
their interest. Listening to stories
help in child development fast
(Black, Walker, & Devercelli, et al
2017).
Use television: Parents should help
children to watch educational
television programs every day for
two hours and these programs helps
the children in understanding the
importance of interaction and
responding
Listening to music together: children
like listening to music and parents
should make children listen to music
every 1hour a day as it helps them to
know the world around them and the
rhythm of the language as well.
Music like "Old McDonald Had a
Farm,"
