Executive Summary
Leadership plays an important in enhancing ones personality transformation. Leadership
provides the ability to a person who can lead a particular group in order to accomplish and
achieve the particular goals. Leadership is an important concept that has to be followed in my
life and at the same time, it is important to identify the opportunities encountered in the
process of leading and managing people (Antonakis, & Day, 2017). I am employed as an
operational manager who has the responsibility to plan regarding the budget and implement
in the department. I have a team twelve people in the operational department. This report is a
reflection of my leadership traits and the capabilities. In order to gain a deeper understanding
of the leadership skills, I have studied various concepts available in the books but most
importantly, in order to understand the role of a leader in this era, I underwent online test and
biographies of famous business leaders (Acton, Foti, Lord, & Gladfelter, 2019). Further, I
tried to take different perspectives and varied feedbacks of another person and finally reach to
such a conclusion where I can implement a trait in my personality. From this report session,
we will make sure that we could find and determine the appropriate weaknesses and
strengths. This report also undertakes an action plan in a reflective form so that it can used to
devise to skills of leadership. The whole suffering is related to self-reflection, which is
mainly eye opening and irresistible. I will have to able to evaluate it deeply with the help of
examining the leadership style. Further, I am confident enough that this evaluation will lead
to positive changes, which will finally boost the morale of the leadership roles in a systematic
way.

Reflection
Leadership is a process through which it is important to direct the team member in such a
way that to attain the targeted goals (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015). During my
life span, I have received several opportunities where I felt that I would be able to improve
myself and reshape my own personality. From all the leadership skills, it is seen that I have
been privileged from the time span that I could behave properly with several kinds of
cultured people (Breevaart, Bakker, Demerouti, & Derks, 2016). A manager has to conduct a
team meeting in which he conferred several liabilities, which are required to accomplish. It is
important to evaluate the personality through Gallup method and concept as it will evaluate
the leader as he plays an imperative role in the success of the organisation (Amanchukwu,
Stanley, & Ololube, 2015). My responsibility towards my team has been increasing as I have
operational segment in my department where different culture of people has been working
and each of them have to treated differently due to cultural diversity. The manager should be
capable enough to motivate each of the twelve members in regards to accomplish the
objectives of the research issues (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015). Manager should
have the calibre to create trust among the employees and reach at such a suggestion where all
the feedbacks for the leader have been taken properly. I work as a leader of the operational
department as of with the twelve members of the team (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube,
2015). Previously, I used to work as an assistant team leader under the same segment with the
validation of nearly five people to whom I use to guide. I have seen that the leader can make
the team in most comfortable situation in specified stakeholders in order to get greater
competitive benefits (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015). I firmly believe that it is the
accountable responsibility of the each team member where in realised I need to prepare the

Finding the strengths through Gallup`s
The main purpose of this tester is to find the strengths and weaknesses by answering a loop of
the questions. The outcome of the generation will be derived from the five main strengths and
weaknesses (Ward, 2016). The outcome from this research method is to give me a test and
help me while devising the plan for leadership development. The crucial strength according
to the Gallup`s test is that I am much able to communicate to others (Ward, 2016). I strong
believe that I am a good communicator. Further, I derived it from the avid book of the
readings. During the time when I used to work in the company, communicating the budgeting
for each day was quite important (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015). Communication
has remained backbone for maintaining the development of the relation. I often try to create
such an environment where everyone could share the ideas, which can reduce the rubbish
(Ward, 2016). Open cultured communication tries to create a transparent environment. Such
enriched culture can build trust and improve the quality attribute of the workplace
environment. I ensure that I could bring comfort and passion in between the team members
with the help of open communication (Ward, 2016).
The next strength according to the Gallup model is to remain restorative. This capability
enables to foresee a problem in every situation (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015).
Being a leader, I have the responsibility of the communicating with the team regarding the
changes and adopting as soon as possible so that it could not affect the crisis which does not
come up with the post information (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015). As in such a
fluctuating external environment scenarios, a situation of critical environment remained
critical, sudden, and unexpected. (Ward, 2016). However, effective communication is the
best to address all these issues as convincing the workers to adopt a change strategy in order

to handle the changes and crisis handling. In the phase of crisis, I stick to communication
strategies and address on the same pace. The purpose is to look for solution rather than
becoming a cribber of the problem (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015). This will help
to keep the stakeholder in a satisfying and getting the trust in the effectiveness, which could
favour us. More identified strength with the help of Gallup`s test, which might look futuristic
so as to become optimistic and the ability to continue as a learner. The last strength should
come up with team spirit, which would help me, a lot to describe the leadership journey
(Blanchard, 2015).
Leadership development plan
A leadership plan offers a wide range of opportunities so that it can become easy to determine
self-leadership capabilities, strengths and the weaknesses in respect to enhance my leadership
skills. Leadership plan will lead to long term as well as short-term goals in removing the
weaknesses and finally become good leader of the company and the operational department. I
used the GROW model of Whittman which are in respect to do the same. This GROW model
is most suitable in order to understand and easy methods of the goal settings that brings out to
solve the issues in the company (Frohlich, & Oppenheimer, 2015). The crucial purpose of
opting the model is not only limited to concentrating and identifying the goals but leading to
support during the making of the action plan while accomplishing the goals (Frohlich, &
Oppenheimer, 2015).
Goal setting
I understand to determine both long term and short term. For six months, I create goals and
finally ensures that out team performing well or goals are accomplished or not. For the next
months, I understood to expand the team inclusive of at least seven more members and finally
making of the group of the twelve persons (Frohlich, & Oppenheimer, 2015). Finally, I will
undertake to increase the accountability of activities of every person of the team. Each team
strategies and address on the same pace. The purpose is to look for solution rather than

2015). Our team is quite determined in regards to department of self- sustainable for the
coming next months (Covin, & Slevin, 2017). Apart from this, it will lead to examination of
the leader where the confidence has increased in the working place (Amanchukwu, Stanley,
& Ololube, 2015). At workplace, several times, leader often uses autocratic in the name of
greater profitability and control. However, sometimes it can be appropriate to become
autocratic so that it can achieve special objectives. It is important to evaluate accountability
and maintaining the motivational level of team members, which could be a concern for
myself, as it will affect the performance of the organisation (Bauer, & Ege, 2016).
Reality
It is complex to deal at every stage and make most suitable decision. This is due to which the
operational level strategies and its department is new (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube,
2015). Training to the specified targeted team for the next six months will increase the
productivity (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015).
Each year, we are planning to recruit new 10-20 employees for the operational sector, which
is very efficient (Covin, & Slevin, 2017).
There is a need to work harder and present myself as an efficient leader. I have found that
there is as needed in order to ensure that our team workers are continuously rewards and
promoted (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015).
Team member and my leader are offered a positive feedback in regards to my leadership
skills. Two seniors often criticised me regarding the adoption of the autocratic leadership in
most of the situations (Covin, & Slevin, 2017).

Obstacle-
The main issues associated within the organisation is the severe competition for the
leadership roles and the promotions in the organisations. The company is preferring the fresh
blood and proving them paid trainings (Amanchukwu, Stanley, & Ololube, 2015). On the
other hand, machines implemented in production department where there is a lot of training
sessions needed (Busch, & Davis, 2018).
On the next, as an effective leader, my approach and style differs from other people in the
organisation. There is a lot of scope of the improvement to solve the existing conflicts
(Shamir, & Shamir, 2018).
Forward way
It is one of the most significant step in the whole GROW model. The step helps in
identifying way forward in order to achieve goals which are defined above the overcoming
described obstacles. The most important which has to be considered while achieving the
objectives far above from the overcoming stated obstacle (Ford, & Harding, 2018). My main
aim is to ensure that in the next three months, my team will start delivering nearly 150
percent of the total capacity (Grint, Jones, & Holt, 2016). We have decided that we will opt
for open door policies that suggests that company will open to signify the conversations.
Further, this will allow the team workers to reach out of the case of the issue in regards to the
performance, it is more important to lead by examples (McKibben, DiAnne Borders, &

with many responsibilities that cab direct them towards growth. The course of planning a
leadership development scenario integrated with the leadership skills helps to find
weaknesses and strengths. To have a better understanding, I received and accepted feedbacks
from each of the company’s member. On the basis of current situation and their feedback, we
have undertaken the development of leadership plan. This plan was further tested that reveals
to expand the size of the team and finally encroach 150 percent of the target fixed will be
achieved by our team alone.
I have perceived that in a sense to achieve the organisational goals, we have totally focused
on performances and continues to be learn ant, take various workshops, put extra effort and
read books on the same side. These things have certainly improved and helped me to become
assertive so that I can become more productive.
