1.0Executive summary
The report is documented following the project conducted about the E-business website
which was developed. The project targets the implementation of an e-commerce website where
clients and suppliers can order and make sells through the use of internet. In this e-commerce
website the supplier will be able to upload the images of all the items to be sold and on the other
site, the clients or the potential customers are able to see the uploaded images and the location in
which the products are available. The site will be able to indicate all the product features
including the shipping fee which is free in this case.
The customer will be able to make orders of their preferred products through the portal
and pay for the order through the portal. After paying for the order through the payments
methods which were chosen, the product is delivered for free until it reaches the client. The
customer will indicate the location during the time of purchase.
Before the start of the project, a certain approach was followed where the project team
was able analyses and study the existing system and they were able to come up with some new
features to make the current system work better. We found out that the existing system involve a
lot of work being done manually, therefore there is need for the new system to be put in place.
The main aspect of the new system is to focus on the replacement of the current way of
business transaction techniques which lacks some features which we identified and implements
them on our project. This project will by far assist in interconnecting different companies and
made customers to the suppliers readily available at any given point of time. E-business site
which was built will be able to be available throughout 24 hrs economy. Our site will enables
various companies to maximize profit margin by availing themselves throughout the day even

2.0 Introduction
An improvement in the technology do make a lot of changes to human life in various
ways. When people embrace new technologies, there are higher chances of raising their standard
of living because of the increase in the productivity of the output. By far internet has created an
important impact to the livelihood of today. (Bauer, 2005) We are living far away from each
other but we feel the presence of each other as if we are on a single village by just using the
internet. However, we are all able to exchange products across the globe by just making a click
on the internet
Business opportunities and processes have been transform into a web service just because
of the presence of the internet. All these services can be protected and saved in the cloud as the
big data. This is because the transactions are done by several people across the globe and
requires a lot of space for storage. However, the invention of the IoT has helped a lot when it
comes to e-commerce big data cloud storage. With the implementation of this project will help
make the work easier for people to carry out business activities wherever they are. They can
make orders online. (Alexandrou & n, 2011)
The e-business project has implemented an easy and cheap way to carry out business all
over the world and has ensured the goods shipped are the one that has been ordered for.
Therefore there is no risk because the customers have committed for and the only thing is to be
shipped for them.

2.2 Aims of the project
The main reason for the implementation of the project by our team is to allow proper
flow of data and easy management of business processes by various companies across the globe.
Upon the implementation of this project will enhance easier management and sales of the
products in that the customer needs to register into the system and all the details and properties
concerning the products will be contained in the e-business system. (Chaffey, 2002) The system
will be able to reduce the cost of production to the producers.
3.0 The main objectives
The project will finally deliver the e-business system which will help in the day to day
running of the businesses. People who will use this platform to sell their products will be able to
manage and sell their products remotely (meaning they can work at their own comfort zones to
sell these products).

The main objectives which must be done to enable the success of the implementation of
this project include the following;
1. Problem must be thoroughly investigated to provide a sure way in which we will be able
to understand the problem and give solutions.
2. To ensure that ideas concerning innovation are utilized in the Identified problems so that
the website can manage to meet the stakeholder’s requirements.
3. To ensure that the research for market is done so that the project implemented will be
able to have as many users as possible
4. E-business process models need to be examined to acquire enough knowledge and skills
such that the proposed system will be able to compete with the existing models.
5. To learn various points of weakness and strengths on the software development
methodologies
3.1Scope of the project
This project is majorly design for helping various companies market their products and
sell them through the platform. However, the payment is done through the platform as an
intermediary between the customers and the suppliers. Therefore, the major part of this project
was to learn and acquire skills and experience of building an e-business platforms regarding to
the market demand for the technology through the internet of things. (Zhang & von Dran, 2000)
This project will help entrepreneurs to run their business easily and in remote location
because it will hold all the details regarding business processes including online money transfer
systems. Customers and suppliers will be able to access their sites on the websites and nothing
else.

3.2 Project limitations
3.2.1Technical limitations
There is not enough bandwidth for its accessibility
Tools for the development keeps on changing and new advances are employed
There is a complexity in the integration of software with existing databases
For e-business system, there is high cost to be incurred because apart from network
servers we require web servers
There limited reliability and security for communication protocols
3.2.2 Non-Technical Limitation
E-business evolution changes regularly within a shorter span of time
The number of sellers and buyers are very many
Lack of understanding with the human relationship
The internet is very expensive and not convenient.
3.2 Effects of e-business on old systems
Due to the evolution of the internet technologies in business industries, intermediaries in
the business supply chain cannot remain to exist reason being the clients will be able to
communicate directly to the customers and purchased the goods through the e-business platform
Also, the use of the e-business platform has raised an issue of a secure transactional
environment where the buyer and the producer are taking high risks on it. (Miller, 2003)The
reason why there is great fear is that in the e-business environment, the information and
communication processes are openly exposed which may be of great advantage to the internet
hackers.

of the coding process, system testing was done to check for the generals bugs which may
have been generated during the coding process.
Implementation and maintenance-in this stage involve how the project implemented is
being monitored and maintain through its existence. This is because the system may
breakdown if not maintained.
5.0 Background of the project
This project was proposed so that it will be able to implement new ways of carrying out business
processes.
This project was initiated after we had learn several existing e-businesses models. It was
found that the existing models has some problems which needs to be solve. The solutions of the
problem will be provided by our project which was implemented. The analysis of the data
regarding the current system were analyzed and were grouped together.
5.1 Evaluation of the e-business site
This project was done for the purpose of implementing the business platform where an
individual can order for goods and services at their comfort zones. The website must contain the
characteristics which are not the same with those of other websites. Similar e-business sites are
evaluated in order to identify the features which are not present in the other websites. (Tapscott,
Ticoll & Lowy, 2000)
These factors which have to be evaluated incudes; the usability and the design concepts,
the quality of the information and how the suppliers and their potential clients will be able to
interact easily and freely through the platform. Also, the e-business platform will be able to be
highly secured since it implies that the money has to be transferred through the platform.
Therefore it has to consist of system block which are able to listen to some malicious acts over
the internet.

5.2 Research market
Research was done to look into the issue of market demand. So many entrepreneurs want
their business improve through technology. Implementing the online ordering platform will make
it easier for them to realize a faster generation of profits. This is due to the accessibility and
reliability at any given time you need to make purchases because the only thing you have to do is
to search for the website and look for what you want from the platform. (Dubosson, Osterwalder,
& Pigneur, 2001)
During market research, we use a number of ways to carry out the activity. We use some
of the techniques like performing secondary market research where we had to study the data
which was given by someone else for doing other activities.
We were also able to use surveys to carry out our market research for us to successfully
implement this project. We use direct and predefined questions to carry out this surveys on
market research because this was one of the major key area which needed to be discussed in
detail. Because our worry about this project was, who will be using this website? Will they be
satisfied? Will the people get attracted to our website?
Personal interviews were carried out also to check on the possible market niche about the
innovative technologies. Since our system is cloud based it means a lot has to be done to let
people trust on the new e-business website. This was a critical issue about the assurance to both
the customers and supplies that the website is fully secured since it involves money transfers
through the platform.

1. How the services are being provided in the website
2. How the revenue are being collected
3. How the system will be able to accept the new markets technologies.
