Introduction
E-learning is defined as the system of knowledge that is mainly based on teaching in a
formalized way by taking help of electronic resources. It is mainly related to teaching within or
outside a classroom while taking the help of computers and internet (Oproiu, 2015). The concept
of e-learning is accepted by almost all learning system and is applied to a major part of the
educational system. This part of the report is prepared so as to describe to different methods of e-
learning while analyzing its effect at the Ashford University and its learning system.
E-learning as a training scheme
Most of the educational organizations are transforming their way of training into a more
developed approach and are often using the e-learning exercise method. The concept of e-
learning activity method is focused on various Content types such as learner centered Content,
Interactive Content, Engaging Content and content based onoptimization. The design of the
specific knowledge content depends on further leaning methods that gets selected via the
analysis phase. The entire phase can be represented by a knowledge pyramid that aids to identify
the right kind of e-learning technique for training purpose (Arif et al., 2015). There are two
kinds of training methods in e-learning platform. One is the self-initiated e-learning and the other
is the Tutor led and enabled e-learning. In self-initiated e-learning the beginners are allowed to
learn individually while accessing through Web server, CD-ROM or any online e-learning
platform while in Tutor led e-learning facility, the course gets scheduled by an coach through an
connected platform where the activities get collaborated with the learner through the lectures of
the instructor.
