E-portfolio: Analysis of Project, Database Design, Stakeholder Management, and More

This e-portfolio documents the key learning experiences and contributions made during a project-based course. It covers various aspects of project management, including project analysis, database design, stakeholder management, change management, use case and interface design, cost risk review, team communication risk review, and presentation skills. Each week's entry details the undertaken work, understanding gained, communication and technical skills demonstrated, and the individual's contribution to the project. The portfolio showcases the development of project management skills, critical thinking, and communication abilities.

Week 3:
 Undertaken Work: Analysis of project
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: This project has been analyzed in different
aspects which include the business, market, requirements, stakeholders, technology and
so on. The business of the pharmaceutical sector also involves the analysis including the
market review. Main the project is evaluated for the requirement of the pharmaceutical
sector and whether the proposed solution will work or not.
 Communication skills and information literacy: This includes my analytical skills to
develop the analysis of the project selected. I also critically analyzed about the associated
factors such as scope, cost, duration and so on.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection ofitems: The technique of critical
analysis has been used for the of the project analysis where I have learned to analyze the
project on the basis of the various associated factors.
 Contribution to project: I used this tool of project management to look at the different
aspects of the project and for making them more effective and sound. I have examined a
few things relating to this project like problems that occurred during the conduction of
project, and also I terminated the ineffective activities that were being carried during the
project operation. This tool helped me in identifying the work of the different persons and
their defined tasks. Process analysis proved useful to me in detecting the root causes of
the problem of project and different techniques to fix them. This stage of analyzing the
process help in getting knowledgeable regarding the project and I also contribute to
project in various manner of providing resources, assigning roles, implementing the test
cases and so on (Project-management, 2018). I have developed the report on the meetings
that I have scheduled for the review. With this, I am able to understand the importance of
the analyzing the project.

Week 4
 Undertaken Work: Database design
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: The technology of the database has been
selected for the solution of storing large amount of information on a single platform from
which both employees and the user can access the information. This information is
accessed only by when the user of staff login the page.
 Communication skills and information literacy: The skills of a database developer will
be evaluated here and the type of coding done is also analyzed on the basis of the security
and privacy provided at the database platform.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: The tool used here is the
database tool named as SQL Lite and it can be designed using the structured query
language. It can be used for the inventory management where data can be stored at the
platform of data.
 Contribution to project: For creating the database design first of all I determined the
purpose for creation of the database and after which I found and organized the required
information for designing the database. Organizing the database helped in dividing the
information in the tables. I converted the item information in columns. Database design
requires specification of primary keys which was again performed by me. The
relationship between tables was setup. Refinement of design was completed by me and in
the end, normalization rules were applied by me to the database (Support.office, 2018). I
have also analyzed the growth of database storage in the market where I found that this
platform is used by many organizations that have the service to store the information of
the customers and also provides the security to each personal data. Database application
is the platform where data can be access with the help of the login credentials.

Week 5
 Undertaken Work: Stakeholder Analysis and Management
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: The management of the stakeholders is
important where they can be managed effectively and better communication channel
should be there. So that there must be regular conversation with the stakeholders and with
this regular updates of the project must be provided to them.
 Communication skills and information literacy: Here a smooth communication channel
is required with the stakeholders such that they remain connected and continuously get
the status of the project. Deep research has been conducted about the types of
management that can be used for the management of stakeholders and their analysis to
retrieve their demand for the project.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: The technique of project
management will help in better stakeholder management and its analysis.
 Contribution to project: In this project of stakeholder analysis and management, I
performed the task of identifying the actual stakeholders of the company. Stakeholders
are the people who are directly or indirectly involved in the interest of a company. After
identification of stakeholders, I made a prioritization of the stakeholders so as to gain a
better understanding of involvement of the stakeholders in the project. Prioritizing the
stakeholders helped me to engage right people at right work in the project for effective
results and proper management of the organization (Rajabifard, 2011). Stakeholders are
the most vital part of the project which includes their involvement in every part of the
project. They are responsible for the providing the data required for the project
development. Therefore, I continuously conducted the meeting sessions with the
stakeholders to know the requirement and change to be implemented. This also made a
continuous confidence of stakeholders in the team members such that the project will be
developed according to their requirements.

Week 6
 Undertaken Work: Change management
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: There is always be changes in the project with
time because it is essential for the enterprise to sustain in the advanced and competitive
market. Changes are also required to keep update the existing plan of the system.
 Communication skills and information literacy: Here, I have involved my skills of
critical thinking to analyze the possible changes that can be implemented to the online
inventory system. These changes must be in support to the growth and competitive
advantage to the pharmaceutical company.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: This week also the project
management is applied in context of change management. I have use this technique to
evaluate the possible changes in the project and then to implement them on the positive
basis.
 Contribution to project: For the change management process, I defined the change
clearly and tried to align it with the business goals of the organization. After defining the
change, the impacts of the change were clear to me so I started working on what would
be affected by such change. I developed a strategy to communicate with the people who
would be working on the required changes and also took feedbacks from them about the
strategy. After receiving the feedback, I started to work on effective training measures to
the different groups and individuals about the change implementation. I was successfully
able to apply the changes and measured the rate of success after change was adopted
appropriately (Courtney, 2016). Changes are meant for better growth and success of an
organization where the existing project gets upgraded in the need of better efficiency and
performance and provide a better experience to the customer. Thereby, I involved my

team members to analyze about the changes or improvements that can be implementation
in the project.
Week 7
 Undertaken Work: Use case diagram and interface diagram
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: Use case diagram is the type of tool which
describes the requirement of the project and about the stakeholder requirement with the
help of actor and comment diagram. Similarly, interface design is meant to produce the
design of the online inventory system and to present as wireframe to show the structure.
 Communication skills and information literacy: Here, I used my learning skills to
understand the use case diagram and to learn about the interface diagram. I also critical
analyzed for the demand of stakeholder to develop the use case diagram.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: There are various tools for
the development of use case and interface diagram but the common used tools are are
draw.io and balsamiq respectively.
 Contribution to project: To make a use case diagram I went through a research process. I
used the Templates from UML Use case diagram. From the subsystem boundaries I drew
actors onto the diagram. Use cases were used from appropriate systems. Then I structured
the use cases using Include, generalization and extend relationships. To create a user
interface I firstly needed to understand the concept of project. After I understood the
concept of the project, I moved to the sketching part of the interface (Msdn, 2015). As
soon as the sketching part was accomplished I further moved with designing the user
flow diagram. I got the sketch and user flow diagram approved by the client. As soon as
the client confirmed the idea, I chose the style of the interface. The client got the design
of the interface approved and I chose and created the preview form. At last mockup of the

different forms were done by me. After mockup of the forms, I created clickable
prototypes of the interface. At the end the validation of the design is gained from the
client (Gaponov, 2017).
Week 8
 Undertaken Work: Interface design
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: This involves designing of the interface model
in more effective and professional way. I improved the design by making it like the
professional application such that it can provide competitive advantage to the
organization.
 Communication skills and information literacy: My skills for developing the interface
design in context of professional format are get enhance and I also researched about the
various standards for the design.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: Tools such as balsamiq
can be used for designing of the platform and implementing the possible improvements.
 Contribution to project: For designing the interface I first chose the color scheme which
is in itself the most difficult task to do. After selecting an appropriate color scheme
according to the product requirement, I went through many layouts to select the perfect
one for my interface. Getting a layout made me half way through the design, after which I
styled my desired interface according to my desire. After styling the interface I had to
make it easily usable by the users by making good flow of components through it. As
soon as I completed with making proper flow of components in the interface, I had to
check the responsiveness of the interface. This whole work was successfully completed
by me (Designn, 2014). The design developed by me includes the best possible usability

features which help the user to understand the functionality itself. The design so
developed fulfills the criteria of requirement of the pharmaceutical sector where the
different services can be handled through thus design. The layout so developed includes
all the global standards of the interface development and it also follows the popular
heuristic principles which is mostly implemented in all types of interface designs.
Week 9
 Undertaken Work: Cost related risk review
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: With the involvement of risk analysis, the
issues are related to the various aspects of the project such as cost, scope, duration and so
on. Basically, cost is one of the major factors that affect the whole project and its
outcomes. After the analysis of the stages in the perspective of cost change, there is the
risk that has been identified.
 Communication skills and information literacy: I have used my research and critical
thinking skills to analyze the cost risk and reviewed for the possible solution on the
identified.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: Here, the technique that
has been used for the review is to do research on the possible solutions such as cloud
adoption.
 Contribution to project: I have analyses the risk on the basis of the cost change and what
the various factors that affects the cost and causes associated risk. The possible risk that
can be associated to the current project includes the risk of cost overrun, poor distribution
of cost among resources and so on (Nevadadot, 2012). These risks can be associated to
the internal and external factors which can increases the probability of appearance of
such risk. I have researched and spend much on researching then I found that it is better
to do the quantitative risk analysis which includes the identification of risk. It is better to

categorizing and prioritizing the risk such that these risks can be prevented. There are
some risks so it is better to develop the risk register where probabilistic risk analysis can
be done. Later I have applied for quantitative analysis for the risk identification and
researched on the possible solutions of the risk.
Week 10
 Undertaken Work: Group meeting
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: Meeting sessions are the important aspects of
the project plan. Meeting includes the discussion at some issues. Group meeting also
helps in providing a better communication channel and within team one can work
efficiently. Group meeting does not only involve the team members but also the top
members and stakeholders of the organization. Every meeting should have clear
objectives that should be focused while keeping the work independent.
 Communication skills and information literacy: Here I have used my communication
skills and actively participated in the group meeting where we have discussed various
issues.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: The technique that has
been used is the generation of the meeting for gathering information during meetings and
for the time to live free and focused on the schedule plan.
 Contribution to project: I have conducted various meetings which show that they must
have clear objectives. I learned and improved my learning from the group meeting of the
course. Meetings require proper activeness and better communications to become more
interactive in nature and this improves the position of the organization. Being a
professional, I must be loyal to all my team members and should follow the loyalty to
appreciate the work that has been done in terms of quality data. It also involves

considering of the topics discussed in the class (Hartman, 2014). I with my team
members mutually conducted various learning with the help of various meetings sessions.
I have also documented the important key points that have been discussed and I also
explained the learning different ICT domain.
Week 11
 Undertaken Work: Discussion on presentation in class
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: Presentation makes to learn about the
communication skills in addition to the learning of how to interact when you are
representing something.
 Communication skills and information literacy: My skills of critical thinking and
research have been used in the review of the presentation.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: Here the technique of
presentation skills were used to analyze how much effectively you are presenting the
presentation to keep the understanding of the viewer
 Contribution to project: With the help of the presentation, I have presented my ideas
regarding the system design and interface design and several other designs. It is among
the submission but I with my team members practiced many of the time for the better
presentation. I learn to express more through my words rather to present what I have
written. During presentation, I made students to understand the need of the project which
our team is doing and then also made them understand what type of project we are
doing(James, 2012). It is to have a purpose during the conduction of presentation, so we
added more presentation competition between our team members so to present
effectively. Presentation is the most expressive document among all which provides

details in a elaborated form and also only that data which is required. It does not provide
unnecessary data and do not waste time in giving unnecessary data.
Week 12
 Undertaken Work: Team communication risk review
 Understanding on the basis of artefacts: Communication plays a significant role in the
team management and their coordination. Communication provides strength to
performance of the work they during the whole project development life cycle help in
reducing the risk. Communication of the team is not just internal; it is also cross verified
with the stakeholders to maintain a continuous relationship with the stakeholders. It
necessary to maintain good relationship and communication with every person associated
to the project. I think that better communication provide reduction in conflict and risk
between the team members.
 Communication skills and information literacy: Team communication skills are
required for the better communication and in addition to this one also know the ethical
behavior they possess during working with the team members.
 Technical literacy as demonstrated by the collection of items: Here I have used the
technique of team management analysis with which I learned about the different
techniques that makes the communication between team members good enough for
effective results and to evaluate the possible risk.
 Contribution to project: In this context, I have performed various activities to maintain a
continuous communication with my team members. These activities and out regular
communication regarding the project made to keep focusing on the project. I have gone
though many of the activities such as meeting or group discussions but it is necessary to

be active while going through any activity. I have evaluated many of the activities and
found that better coordination reduces possibility of occurrence of risk. Without active
participation, no one can remove the skills of the communication required for the better
environment at the workplace. During the project plan, there must be development of a
communication plan where all things have to be decided about what is going to happen in
what way it is going to happen. There can be issues and risk regarding the
communication but (Hamilton, Byatt &Hodgkinson, 2010).
