1E-PORTFOLIO
E-portfolio or electronic portfolio is comprised of different set of electronic records that
includes the set of electronic records such as personal details, academic qualification, acquired
skills and personal expertise of the person writing those e-portfolio (Green, Wyllie & Jackson,
2014). These records are type of dynamic record system which is generally used and maintained
by using internet and it also provides the user with the ability to edit its details on acquisition or
upgradation of any skill or personal details so that an up to dated e-portfolio could be obtained
(Ten Cate et al., 2015). Therefore, using e-Portfolio, the users can provide a detailed analysis of
their own learning objectives so that it could be properly put up in important situations to
determine the learning outcomes achieved by the learner. In case of students, learning objectives
and achievements related e-Portfolio help them to understand their progress and using this
students can reflect on their learnings and experiences with proper documentation of their goals,
and provide a list of the used resources, that help them to develop themselves as an efficient
professional in their field of choice (Green, Wyllie & Jackson, 2014). In this section, discussion
about e portfolio in the nursing profession and its development will be discussed, specifically in
the section e-Portfolio development related to the nursing practitioner after the completion of
bachelors in nursing will be discussed (Hamric et al., 2013).
My e-Portfolio will be prepared in the format presented by Andre and Heartfield in which
I will be discussing all of my skills with the complete year of experiences I have regarding those
skills so that the person going through the e-Portfolio could easily understand the skills and
techniques I have acquired in these years while completing my nursing bachelors and could
identify my strengths and skills for nursing practitioner related option. This format is accepted by
nursing students worldwide because of the presence of evidences and examples of skills and
courses the students have completed while going through their courses (Ten Cate et al., 2015).

2E-PORTFOLIO
Further, this e-Portfolio is the example of the assessment portfolio because of the presence of the
strengths, weaknesses, acquired skills and its level of expertise so that the person going through
the portfolio can assess the complete knowledge of the student (Hamric et al., 2013). This
portfolio generally comprises of a table of content and in a simplified manner, provide the details
of the contents in smaller and easier words in front of the complete portfolio. If we divide the
portfolio, it will comprise four sections so that a concise overview could be generated about the
knowledge and achievement of learning objectives of the person (Hampe & Lewis, 2015). The
first section will be of personal qualification and details, whereas, the second section will be of
detailed explanation of the employment and other experiences of the person. Third section will
discuss the strength and weaknesses of the person’s personality and the fourth section will be of
critical reflection by the person about his or her achievement of the learning objectives. Hence,
these will be the steps of development of the e-Portfolio and finally a list of references will be
provided. Finally, the document’s scanned copies will be attached in the appendix section to
authenticate the details.
