Introduction
The main purpose of this report is to provide a general view of Soft System Methodology. This
report also discusses different types of items and models of Soft System with its importance for
business analyst in an organization for a proper understanding of the problem.
Some items or models which can be used for Soft System Methodology are :
1. Seven Stage Model
Discussion: This approach considers all the associated factors into consideration like social and
political aspects. The main focus of this model is to suggest the solution which is meaningful and
scalable for the organization. It is a planned and systematic process for learning in which
problem is explored from each part of the organization (Ngai et al. 2012).

Reflection: We had chosen this technique for soft system methodology because it uses very
flexible and practical approach to implement and manage the changes.
