2EARLY CHILDHOOD CAREThe specify an age group The age group that will be selected is the children belonging in the age group of 5 to 8 years.This is because it is at this time of the age group that children are very active and they are verymuch eager in learning many new things. They are also very active towards many extracurricularactivities like dance, singing, and swimming, drawing and making crafts as well. Often teachersget students who are not really very attentive in school. They do not find much interest in sittingwith their books for long time. It is for this reason that they try and look for something verydifferent and innovative. So, the education has to be imparted in a different and engaging way(Bird and Edwards 2015).The name of the play space. For example blocks, home corner, art & craft etc. The play space selected is art and craft. This is an indoor play activity. It is a very good waythrough which the children can be taught their lessons. Children can also be in introduced withmany different colours and shapes of objects as well. The children can learn the art of papercutting and it is in this way that they will also be able to learn the names of many objects likeflowers, clouds, animals and many other such things.Give specific examples of how the experience will extend and enrich the child’s learningand promotes agency?

3EARLY CHILDHOOD CAREChildren are often very inattentive at class. Particularly, children belonging to the agegroup of 5 to 8 years are occupied with so many things at the same time. They are verymuch attached to play activities and want to do something apart from just sticking to theirtext books. They might not get interest in learning the poem twinkle twinkle little star justby reading their books but they will find interest if the teachers teach them how to makestars and clouds with colours and paper cuttings.The teacher can actually take up a drawing and craft session where she will teach thestudents to draw the shapes of starts and clouds on papers and cut them followed byfilling them with colours. This will enrich the students in learning the art of paper cuttingand also the art of colouring. On the other hand they will also learn the poem as well.The name of the resources (natural, recycled, open-ended) and how you intend to set up theplay space

4EARLY CHILDHOOD CAREThe resources will be open ended. They will mainly include objects that the students willbe most comfortable with. They can use colours of any type, like pastel colour, oilpainting and also any kinds of papers that he students will be comfortable with.Safety considerations (supervision, choosing the materials) The safety considerations that must be maintained are strict supervision of any adultmember or teachers so that he students do not get hurt while cutting the papers withscissors or paper cutting knifes.How many children will be able to participate at any given time?The number of children that can take part at a time is about 30. In other words, a class havingstrength of about 50 students can take part. There must be enough space for all the students totake their seats and concentrate on the activity (Foreman and Arthur-Kelly 2017).1.How will you clearly define the play space?The play space will be a large room where the teacher will be teaching her students the art andcraft activities. The space can be a classroom or even a large extra co curricular activity roomwhere all the required are and craft materials will be present. The room will be decorated withmany paintings and pictures all around. There will be colours of varied kinds like oil paintingcolours, pastel colours, crayons. There will be scissors, cardboards, colour papers and severalguide books on art and crafts making.
