1PROBLEM ACTION CONSEQUENCE TECHNIQUE
1. What are the ethical problems identified in the chosen YouTube video?
Answer: The ethical problem identified in the video of Early Launch is the problem that
specific software is delivered to the client without undergoing correct procedure of encryption
(Ding et al., 2014). Encryption is the most reliable way of securing any data or system. This entire
concept is the ethical problem or ethical issue identified in the video.
2. Why are these ethical problems?
Answer: Encryption provides security to all types of systems, data or information. When a
software is secured with encryption procedure, it is evident that that exists no loopholes for the
security of that software (Pires et al., 2016). In this particular video, the project manager is
advised to deliver the software to the client without any type of encryption security. This is
extremely unethical as it can cause major problem for the security of the software. An
unauthorized hacker or person can easily hack into the software and the all the confidential data
would be lost (Sadeghi et al., 2017). Moreover, the unauthorized person can even exploit those
data or information from the software for all types of illegal and unethical acts.
3. Who is responsible for these problems?
Answer: The director of the project is the main culprit for this for this unethical act. It is
clearly seen in the video that the director of the project is ordering the project manager to deliver
the software to the client without encryption (Chen et al., 2016). He is doing this fr meeting the
deadline. However, apart from meeting the deadline of the project, the security of the software is
equally important. He is not giving importance to the security of the software. If the software or
the project will be unsuccessful, it will eventually affect the goodwill of the organization and they
will lost one of their clients. Therefore, the director of the project is responsible for this unethical
act.
4. Who is affected by these problems?

2PROBLEM ACTION CONSEQUENCE TECHNIQUE
Answer: The client is affected due to this unethical act. The client has trusted the company
and has given the project to the company. The company, on the other hand has not fulfilled his
demand. Security is one of the most important requirements for any software (Scott-Hayward,
Natarajan &Sezer, 2016). However, in this software, the project director has stopped the
encryption process and thus the software is unsecured. The unencrypted software is the easiest
way for any hacker to exploit all types of information present in it or through it. Therefore, the
client is affected from this unethical issue.
5. What project management strategies could have prevented these problems from arising in
the first place?
Answer: There are various strategies of project management for the given problem. These
particular strategies could be utilized with respect to the requirement of the company. One of the
most effective strategy for project management for this particular case study of unencrypted
software is the software development life cycle or SDLC (Sadeghi et al., 2017). If the organization
will consider a particular type of model of software development, their task would be easier. One
of the best software model is the waterfall model. It follows seven distinct steps in the life cycle. It
starts with the planning phase and ends with the maintenance phase. These seven steps is
procedural and one can be completed after the previous one. The sixth phase is the testing phase.
This helps to understand whether the software is safe or not and whether it can pass the tests in
real life problems (Ding et al., 2014). Implementation of this particular strategy of waterfall model
can be a great help for the organization and such unethical problems will not occur any more.
6. Which of the three actions in the chosen YouTube video is better? Why?
Answer: There are three distinct actions that are possible for the particular case study.
These three actions will lead to three separate consequences. The best action should be selected
for the video (Kumar, Khan & Khan, 2015). The best action amongst the three is the ignorance of
the recommendations and suggestions given by the project manager by the director of the project.
