INTRODUCTION
Management within an organisation is a process of getting task done through others to
achieve goals of business. Performance management helps in developing a working environment
where human resources use their skills and abilities to perform better within an organisation.
This is a continuous process of interaction and feedback between supervisor and its subordinates
to meet objectives of an organisation. It includes areas such as leadership and management,
training and development, talent management that helps business in completing its targets in an
effective manner (Adivar and et.al, 2019). This tool provides assistance to administrators of
company in monitoring and evaluating performance of their employees. The organisation taken
in this report is Easy jet which is a multinational company of UK dealing airlines services at low-
cost. It operates in domestic as well as international countries through its associated airlines such
as EasyJet Switzerland, EasyJet Uk, EasyJet Europe. Within report, process of leadership and
management along with talent management will be discussed in context to EasyJet. Concept of
training and development will also be explained in reference to the company. Addition to it,
theories related to these process will also be discussed with their recommendations.
MAIN BODY
There are three process that helps in management of company to make its functioning more
effective. These process are described as under in context to chosen organisation:
Leadership and management: Within leadership, managers of an organisation motivate,
instruct and guide their workforces to attain a common objective of the business. Managerial
leaders think strategically and develop effective teams for creating a healthy working
environment. In EasyJet, transformational leadership style is followed in which supervisors of
company lead their subordinates by providing clearly defined and compelling directions that help
in attaining goals of company (Akhtar, M. and Sushil, S., 2018). Team members within the
group are directed by their managers to take decisions regarding technology and innovation for
airlines models. New thoughts and ideas relevant to innovation of models are brought forward by
team members and then administrators of company choose the best decision. It helps managers
of company in taking their decisions fast because of different ideas and opinions given by team
members.

Transactional theory of leadership and management is defined as a theory in which
supervisors of company mainly directs and motivates their subordinates by appealing for their
self-interest. The primary objective of this theory is to follow the instructions given by
administrators of company to their employees. Within EasyJet, the leaders have belief in
motivating their human resources through rewards and punishments. When employees of
company performs as per the demands of superiors then they get appraisal through rewards
which motivates them and other employees also to work more hard (Altin and et.al, 2018). And
if any manpower does not perform as per demand of managers then they are punished through
penalties. Therefore, this exchange of performance and reward between workforces and
superiors takes place to attain daily performance targets. Human resources of company focuses
on expanding the sales of airline services by working hard and get rewards in return from
administrators of organisation.
Training and development: This process helps in overall development of human resources
of the organisation so that they help in achieving objectives effectively and efficiently. Training
and development program is an essential tool in airlines sector to manage human resources
successfully in context to comforts and safety of passengers. This process helps workforces of
EasyJet in expanding the quality of productivity and services by developing innovational
strategies in them to work efficiently. Training and development facilitates manpower of
company in facing the issues and challenges affecting airlines services of company. It also helps
them in recommending the ways to overcome those challenges. This program help employees in
keeping them motivated and increases their level of contribution within company. This process
also provides assistance to human resources of company in identifying and improving the areas
where they are lacking.
The model of 70-20-10 is for learning and development within training profession for
describing best sources of learning through successful supervisors (Bourne and et.al, 2018) . It is
based on the principle that 70 percent of learning comes from experiment, reflection and
experience. 2 percent of learning derives from getting work done with others while 10 percent of
learning obtains from planned learning solutions and formal interventions. This model is a
common guideline for those companies that are seeking effectiveness of training and programs
of development with the help of other activities and inputs. Within Easyjet, managers use this
model to shift their concentration from learning to functioning of airlines services. It gives a
