strong climate, as well as increase returns on new programs. This involves new company that
is avid hotels, which was launched in 2017 with 75 hotels in the pipeline as of 9 February 2018,
44 of whom were hotels agreed to sign on 31 December 2017.
Ownership structure:
There are different ownership structures that can be followed by the organization and
further they perform accordingly. Those are discussed below:
Sole proprietor: Enterprises owned and operate entire organizational activities by their
own and it is the most common form of ownership structure. Profits from the company belong
solely to the proprietor in this ownership arrangement. Individuals could even make all the
decisions and guide all the company's operations; there are very few federal regulations,
confidentiality and the ability to terminate the business (Du, Boateng and Newton, 2016).
Partnership: An organization owned and run by two or more individuals. There have
been two simple forms, general and restricted forms of partnerships. Both partners have

that the liability of members of the company or active users is limited by means of investments
or obligations to their shares in the business.
IHG Hotel is public limited company in which general public is allowed to buy company’s
shares in terms of owners. Basically, IHG follow the limited company ownership structure which
allows it owners with limited liabilities.
Incorporate the 5 year budget
To prepare budget for IHG hotel require taking base of 2 year financial statements after
that set all the business activities. So for this set all the income and expenses in systematic
manner. In general terms, the budget is defined as an objective document, reflecting a financial
calculation of the administration's receipts and expenses for that same time. Investment means, in
financial reporting, a quantifiable assertion primed until a certain time frame to represent as a
guesstimate of long term cash inflow and outflow. A primary usage of the expenditure is a
benchmark of success for calculating the real effects. Doing so can be deceptive, as expenditures
usually are becoming allegations over moment, resulting in massive differences who have no
basis for real outcomes (Kassim, 2016).

problems. On Friday, the business behind InterContinental and Holidays Inn resorts said
competition for hotel accommodation is at historic lows, when it reported $150 million in cost
savings to better deal with travel bans and lockdowns triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.
Travel and leisure companies were among the hardest affected by the epidemic of the disease,
with hundreds of billions of dollars canceled during work trips and vacations as governments
enforce stringent controls to attempt and prevent its dissemination (Palazuelos, Crespo and del
Corte, 2018). InterContinental Hotels Group ( IHG) said it was expecting the worldwide revenue
from luxury hotels (RevPAR) to sink from about 60% in March, with stiffer decreases in
lockdown economies. It said cancelations for April and May, and existing patterns in bookings
referred to ongoing demanding circumstances, but stressed that it had begun reopening hotels in
China where even the virus originated. IHG operates over 5,900 hotel brands, with almost
900,000 rooms spread along all 100 nations. Quarter of its hotels are located in the united states
and 35 percent are located in Europe , the Middle East, Asia and Africa and 6 percent in China.
IHG has $1.2 billion in total advances spare cash underneath a credit agreement if necessary, it
explained, as businesses look to their funds deposited to cope with a disaster situation to proceed
through the season.
As ravaged stock prices managed to regain a few other floor, IHG shares, that had lost
upwards of quarter of their worth so far in 2020, rose 11 percent in early trade. IHG said it has
taken measures that would save $150 million in expenses including rising wages, bonuses and
"significant" reductions for management and supervisory board leaders (Pucheta‐Martínez, Bel‐
Oms and Olcina‐Sempere, 2016). Those are not good decisions and we are aware of the effect on
our coworkers and stockholders that these judgments will have. They have now 60 hotel rooms
closed in Asia pacific, especially in comparison with 178 at the peak, and enhancements in
tenancy have started in recent times, although at low concentrations. Cost management and cash
saving steps that are open to us. In this climate, they have taken aggressive steps around the
organization to address all operating expenses and rising compensation and benefits, including
major cuts for members of the board and education board. These initiatives will lead in every
ones fee company cost reductions of up to $150 m. Comparable actions have been taken around
the structure Fund in reply to anticipated lower analysis fee bank statements, along with a
significant decrease in marketing expenditure. They also take action to relief funds at our
operated, rented and did manage loan hotel rooms (Škoda, Lengyelfalusy and Gabrhelová, 2017).

In fact, we have introduced a robust series of initiatives to help our owners and control
their cash flows like halting upgrades and easing label requirements. IHG remains able to
leverage in a sensible manner. Lengthy-term financial assistance is provided by the delayed bond
commitment pattern, from first longer maturities of £ 400 m not due for interest payments again
till 2022. Additionally, the business has recourse to a $1.4bn Revolving Credit Facility (RCF),
which is actually $1.2bn final appearance which offers considerable funding coupled with
revenue growth production. The RCF agreements (detailed in Note 1) provide substantial extra
room either for EBITDA worsening or total debt raise (Yaseen and Dragotă, 2018). IHG's Global
RevPAR fell 6 percent over January and February, with a widely flat productivity in the US
compensate by decreases in asia pacific, which has seen a decline of nearly 90 percent in
February. In March, despite the steps taken by governments all over the world to limit
transportation and social interaction, we expect a fall of about 60% in Global RevPAR, with
stiffer decreases in those economies most influenced by constraints. Cancelation action for April
and May, as well as organization patterns, signify tough situations that remain. Humans have
now 60 hotels shuttered in asia pacific, especially in comparison to 178 only at high point, and
enhancements in square footage have started in recent times, albeit at low concentrations
(Huang-Meier, Lambertides and Steeley, 2016).
CONCLUSION
As per the above report it has been concluded that accounting as well as finance both are
important terms that are used by the every type of organisation whether small and large
organisation. These concepts are used by the business to record all the transactions that helps to
identify the business status in current and following year. After the analysis of financial
statement of the company prepare a budget for five years that helps to estimate the total income
and expenditure of business in particular accounting period. This plan helps to prepare effective
strategy for the business and take initiative plan to conduct all the business activities in proper
manner. In present time the hospitality industry face the problem of COVID 19 that impact on
the business in adverse manner.
