Introduction
Child development is an important factor that helps a child to grow happily and with
enough nutrients. Children are the growing youth of the nation depending on which there will
be changes in the democracy of the country. Various factors have an impact on child
development. There can be diseases that can lead to slow child development. Depending on
the psychology and physical health, child development can be measured. Apart from mental
and psychological development, personality development also has a great impact on the
development of the child (De Onis 2017). The paper is an elaborate discussion about child
growth and development that includes the mental, physical and personality growth of a child.
Several diseases have been mentioned that have an impact on child development and growth.
Hence, the paper helps in a better understanding of child growth and development.
Theories and Approaches to Child Development
The psychodynamic perspective is a theory that has been developed by Sigmund
Freud. It is the theory that helps in the understanding of the unconscious mind of ours. This
theory helps one to understand the emotion, sensitivity, behaviours, preferences, and drives of
a person (Bornstein 2018). The behavioural perspective is a theory that helps in the
understanding of the behaviour of a person. It helps in the determination of the behaviour of a
person (Meichenbaum 2017). Various other theories have been identified that have a great
impact on child development and growth in early life childhood. The cognitive perspective is
a theory that helps in the understanding of the memory, thinking and problem-solving action
of the people. On the other hand, theories like contextual perspective is an understanding of
the relationship between physical, cognitive and social. The evolutionary perspectives theory
has been an attempt to understand the psychology or the mental condition of a person. It can
be also explained as an understanding of psychological traits. The behavioural theory is a

theory that will help in the development of the child in their life. Early life childhood
education is an important factor as it will help in the development of the career of the child. It
helps the child to understand people who will be working with them or in the time of
understanding of classmates.

Separation anxiety is the disorder that is being faced by a child in their early
childhood or by toddlers. In this condition, the child faces anxiety when it is being separated
from their parents for a particular time. The toddlers must be made to witness short
separation, get acquainted with a new situation. Yes, fathers can provide equal care to infants.
With the development of technology, there have been changes in the caring procedure of the
children as well. The introduction of baby food with supplements will help in the
development of the child (McPeck 2016). However, the child can face some emotional
lacking due to the lack of a mother that can be difficult for the father to provide the child
with.

Erikson's stage of Trust –Versus-Mistrust, explains that the child till the age of 18
months is unaware of the world in which he/she is living (Meltzoff and Cooper 2018). Hence,
they mostly trust the people who are mostly close to them. They often do not like the food
that is being provided to them. Hence, they try to avoid eating whereas at night when it is
dark they find the safest place for them are their parents. Embarrassment, guilt, pride,
contempt are some of the strong emotions; hence, these are some of the emotions that they
realize over time.

Design an Early Education Program for Pre-schoolers
A pre-schooler child care program has been developed that will help in the
understanding of the areas that help in the development of the child. In the development of
the child care plan, understanding of the physical, socio-emotional and cognitive
development of the child (Baker, Gruber and Milligan 2019). The St. Mary’s School of
California has developed a plan for child development. Conducting a pre-school program will

help the parents and teachers to understand the ways of handling children that will have a
change in the development and growth of the children. The program that has been arranged
will be organized with a total of 50 children, along with their parents. The institution ensures
that there must be a small team that will help in the development and making parents
understand the needs of the children. The prime purpose of this assignment to understand the
development stages and the psychological changes with the changes in the children (Havnes
and Mogstad 2015). In the program, there were snacks arrangements made for the children as
this will keep the attention of the children bound to the program. Moreover, it was a time-
consuming program; hence, the children must be provided with food that will help them be
full. The inchage of the program has used various kinds of toys to communicate with children
and understand their psychological development.

Building Self-Esteem
From the poem, it is clear that the child learns things that they observe elders
performing or the things that the witness while growing up (Canfield and Wells 1976).
Parents and teachers must develop an environment wherein the children will witnesses a bais
free environment. The children must be brought up in a situation wherein there will be no
biased environment. They must be taught to live by sharing nature and love for all (Winnicott
2018). The children must be taught to love and respect everyone. There must be an
environment developed wherein the children will be free to live and happy. Dominating one
another will lead to the depletion of the self-confidence of the child. Hence, the must be
encouraged and ensure to live a creative life.
Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a psychological disorder wherein the child
is unable to concentrate on the activities that take place in the class. Children those who are
facing attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder can be diagnosed with low attention to task or
activities that are taking place in the class, lose things, incomplete task and get easily
distracted (Drange and Havnes 2019). The teachers and parents must keep a check on the
children that will help in the understanding of the disorder in children. The parents must have
a check that it should not last for more than six to seven months. Often children with these
disorders have a great impact on their education as they will be unable to concentrate on their
studies and have difficulty in class and coping up with other children (Cornelissen,
Dustmann, Raute and Schönberg 2018).
With the help of psychiatrists and therapists, the disorder can be cured. This can be
cured with the right attention to the children and with different activities in class. It can be
cured with the help of parents and teachers as well.

Adolescent Viewpoints
The socio-economic condition has an impact on the development of the child. With
the changes in the economy, there will be changes in the types of lifestyle of the child. It has
been observed that with the economic stability of a person, people start to develop different
ways of indulgence with them in society. The people who are well to do deserve better
positions n decision making in society. This is the condition that is being witnessed by the
children as well. Children from rich families deserve more attention from children of middle-
class families. In a country where there exists racism, economic is a great reason that leads to
discrimination as well. Children from established families are settled in the best of the
schools situated in the United States (Singer 2017). Hence, the impact of the economy is also
witnessed by the children as well. Adolescence is a period where the children develop
different ideas and want to explore life. They consider themselves as old enough to handle
every situation. They understand their economic condition in society and hence there can be
an attitude developed of being rich. Thus, there is an impact on the children about the
socioeconomic status of the family on the children.
Conclusion
The paper has been a discussion about child development and growth and the areas
that will help in the better development of the child. In the time of development of the child,
various factors have an impact on the development of the child (Horridge et al. 2016). During
the development stage, children often face various diseases that can have an impact on the
development of the child. The program has been developed by the organisation that will help
in the development of the growth of the children. Hence, it can be concluded that the paper
has been developed for the understanding of the growth and development of the children.
