The ecological system theory is a theory which encountered that the different
environments which an individual experience throughout the lifespan may influence the
individuals behaviour in varying proportions.
The theory includes many system such as micro system, mesosystem, exosystem,
macro system as well as chronosystem.
This report study give brief discussion about the ecological system theory approach as
well as case study of an adolescent who experience peer pressure at the school,

The case scenario is provided of a 13 year old girl name
Amelie. She was tall, slender and looked more mature
according to their age.
After his father death her family moved to Australia from
Pakistan. She lived with her mother and brother.
His brother is elder than amelie. Her mother is very strict
due to which amelie feels like her mother has controlling
nature as well as she feels that her mother is discriminated
to his brother in every aspect.
As this is the most common source of conflicts between
her mother and amelie. Due to different cultural
background and mother's controlling nature amelie often
get teased at the school as mummy's girl.

In support of above case scenario the ecological system theory
approach is discussed as this theory is sight at the child's
development in relation of system relationship which form
environment.
The ecological system theory is given by Bronfenbrenner's. He
state that there are complex layers of environment which
effects the child's development.
According to this theory each complex layer of the
environment may affect the child's development. This theory is
renamed to bioecological system theory in order to emphasize
that the child's own biology is the first environment which is
fueling their development.
In order to study the child's development, it is essential to look
all the environment interaction including child and her

effective relationship with the patient is crucial.

are likely to interact with the patient very comfortably,
they respect them as individuals as well as relate them
in a non-judgemental manner without being non
directive.
As amelie's need a health care advocate not a
surrogate parent or a buddy. The physician need to
secure a teenager's personal physician as they have to
build the confidentiality with the patient as well as
with the parents. As the status of maintaining
confidentiality is vary from state to state.

From the above discussed report study, it is concluded that the ecological system of
theory is a framework from which the community psychologists is analysing the
individual's relationship within the communities as well as to the wider society.
The theory is renamed to bioecological system theory. The main component of this
theory is microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem as well as the
chronosystem. As theory have an insight on the child's development.
