Report
AI Summary
This report delves into the study of ecology and biomes, with a specific focus on tropical rainforests and savannahs. It begins by defining biomes and their characteristics, including abiotic factors such as temperature, topography, and atmosphere. The report then explores the tropical rainforest biome, discussing its environment, including temperature, precipitation, and the importance of rainforest conservation, along with classroom exercises. The report further examines the savannah biome, detailing its location, vegetation, and environmental factors like fire and dry seasons. It highlights the biodiversity of these regions, and the impact of human activities. Finally, the report references relevant sources to support the information presented.

Ecology; Biome
Biomes are natural zones found worldwide and surrounded by vegetation. They are
composed of the abiotic features in the environment such as soils, topography, atmosphere and
the temperature (Paul, 2018).
The Tropical Rain Forest.
The preservation of rainforests has received tremendous support in many countries of the
world in the last century. Many people need proper education on forests, how to protect them and
their significance to the world. The essay analyzes six sections that provide essential data on the
areas, substance, qualities, and the occupants of tropical rainforests in the world. In the seventh
and the eight-part, enlightens the methods of preservation and significance of rainforests. Each
section ends up with classroom exercises (Nikita, 2018).
The environment effect.
Temperatures in the rainforests are insignificant. High temperatures cause high stickiness
at 70 to 90 percent and abundant precipitation. However, tropical rainforest lacks the regular
seasons encountered in some countries. The United States of America experiences four seasons
with extreme temperature fluctuations and climatic changes. However, the temperature is
genuinely consistent in a tropical atmosphere (Paul, 2018).
The timberlands regions of tropical rainforests have predictable precipitations. However,
they regularly experience flooding annually due to the liquefying snow in the mountains. The
overflowed woods also experience reliable rainfall all year because of the geology and
geography.

Savannahs
Savannahs are regions within the tropical rainforests with scattered trees and large grass
vegetation. Furthermore, they have short wet seasons. Dry seasons in the savannah grasslands
have lightning and fires that limit the growth of vegetation because fire suppresses the
development of trees but facilitates the growth and spread of grass (Forseth, 2010).
The African continent has a broad zone of savanna limited by dry seasons, farming and
urbanization. Furthermore, it has a large variety of natural life. It covers the area south of the
Sahara Desert to the Eastern side of the Indian Ocean and stretches south of the Congo rainforest
to the Atlantic Ocean (Forseth, 2010).
In South America, savanna stretches from Brazil, and it spreads into Venezuela and
Colombia. The savanna in Brazil is frequently ravished with wildfires. In Colombia and
Venezuela, occasional flooding and creates a remarkable scene of the Ilano savanna (Forseth,
2010)
The savanna biome covers approximately 20 million kilometers which are about 15 % of
the earth’s surface. However, half of it is used as cropland and field area.
