Difference between business case for a project and feasibility
The main purpose behind developing a business plan is that it helps in analyzing the
values that are related to organization and also helps in determining the cost associated with the
project. In addition to these businesses case helps in determining the feasibility, benefits and
overall requirements associated with the project. The information is needed for executing a
project effectively. Business case is needed for organizing the data sets that are associated with
the project. Before starting of a project it is important to develop a project business case based on
which the project components will be executed. The Tolt river water treatment plant project has
been designed for the purpose of understanding the way resources are managed within the
project. The business case has been developed for the project so that it becomes easy to
understand the overall resources that are needed for managing the project successfully. On the
other hand feasibility study is typically referred to the factor that includes the political,
geography, social economic and regulatory factors associated with the project. It is important for
every projected to determine the feasibility factors efficiently so that it becomes easy to make a
proper decision. Feasibility study is essential for managing all the project constraints. This
includes managing the internal constraints and external constraints as well. The main reason
behind conducting a feasibility study within our project is that it helps in improving the project
team focus and help in creating new opportunities. In addition to this it also helps in making
decision effectively for the project. Hence it can be stated that a project must develop the
business case at first stage for successfully executing a project. Feasibility study is important for
executing the project successfully. It is important to manage the performance so that the project
components can be developed successfully.
