Introduction
Anxiety can be referred to as any psychological disorder that has
the ability to negatively affect the well being of the person. Anxiety is
mainly a mental illness that eventually results into disorders such as low
self esteem, depression, self and community neglect and so many
unhealthy effects. Anxiety like any other youth problem has its own
categories in which it can be classified. These categories or types of
anxiety can be listed to include, panic disorders, emotional disorders,
psychological disorders among others (Norton et al 2016). Some of the
few causes and signs of anxiety include stress, fear, and other socially
related factors. The possible signs and symptoms of this problem are
nausea, fatigue, sadness among others.
Justifying the need for an economic valuation
Relating to the “anxiety free” program, it is important that the team
considers the cost variable as a critical concern. In relation to the
economic valuation, the costs incurred in the due course should be
economically worthwhile in terms of achieving the intended goals and
aims. Therefore team should critically be considerate of each of the
component in the project (Whiteside et al, 2016.pg.44). The need for an
economic analysis is therefore of great importance as it can be used as
one of the measure to assess success. For example in the report by the
W.H.O, it is clearly states that benefits gained from funding campaigns
related to anxiety and other mental illness greatly over weighs the cost
involved. It further shows that the expansion of human resources valued

at about 399 billion dollars in terms of costs would save the country an
amount equivalent to 310 billion ( W.H.O, 2016 n.pg). The above points
would therefore reflect justification for the need of an economic valuation.
Forming the study question
In forming this study question, the paper will concentrate on a single
anxiety disorder among the many types available. The paper will use a
technique referred to as the “college adjustment test” (Baker, 2013,
pg.11). This method is based upon attaching numerical figures for the
different tendencies of risk exposure. Students can be asked different
questions connected to anxiety and they are simply required to give a
reply by filling in the gap with the number they feel is applicable to them
(Baker, 2013, pg 11)
The numbers attached will basically range from 1 up to 7 and they
will be divided into three categories. Numbers from 1 -3 will be scored
with a ‘nil’, 3-5 will be scored with ‘average’ and then 5-7 will be scored
‘high’. The questions asked in this method would be aimed at assessing
the adaptability of a student at school or college. An analysis about
complications such as inferiority complex would similarly be made. For
instance, the student would be asked a question such as “how do you feel
about studying in the new college?” the answer that the student gives
would reflect the likelihood of having anxiety disorders or not (Beidel et al
2017). Such a tool would significantly important in coming up with the

study question that will be used in conducting the study of assessing the
exposure risk to anxiety. Since replies are provided basing on personal
decisions and sense of feeling, it is most likely possible that more than
half of the sample population would provide genuine answers (Berger et al
2014, p 498). Such a tool however would ensure reliability because of the
consideration in credibility and relevance. It is relevant through its
involvement of the students and as well as the ability to provide results in
the shortest possible time period
Most appropriate method of economic evaluation
Since the study is aimed at assessing the health standards of
students at school, it would be much more relevant to use the health state
valuation method of economic analysis (Bjystrisky et al 2013). Since the
campaign is health related, the cost involved would much easier be
correlated to improvement of health standards of the students. This
evaluation technique takes into consideration the unit cost for every
individual attended to. An average of all the other associated such
medication, costs related to counseling services and other. The impacts
will then be compared to the improvements in life standards especially
when taking into consideration of a 12–month follow up process (Buntrock
et al 2017, pg 5).
