The aspect of economic turmoil and the respective impact significantly influences the
human behavior at a large scale. Human entities are involved in the basic economic activities
based on their individual needs and wants that determines what they demand for and the supply
that they acquires from the market. Market remains in equilibrium when the aggregate demand
and the aggregate supply equates each other (Datta, 2018). To understand this micro foundation
of macroeconomic factors that impact the economy as a whole it is not only impact to understand
the factors that are responsible to change the fluctuation in prices or the market entities but also
the human behavior that are the determinant factor of the overall social behavior. The purpose of
this article is to delve into this issue where to understand the macroeconomic variables that
influences the national economy of America or any other country is also dependent upon the
social behavior of human psyche that are the individual ingredients of the entire economy.
Whether a country will traverse the path of high employment, inflationary pressure, inequality or
poverty in the economy, etc. all are dependent upon the combined mindset of the economic
entities for whom the economy runs and that is human beings those who engages themselves in
the daily economic activities of consumption, production, exchange and distribution of goods
and services (Palmer, 2017).

A metaphor is something that symbolizes something different but through a figurative
speech, word or phrase. The zombie metaphor is significant in this context due to the reason that
it represents the state of the current people that dwells within the economy, operates it as well as
gets affected by it. The existing state of the American economy in the time from of the 70s were
similar to that of the zombies due to many reasons (Kuhling, 2017). It was being found that the

economy use to perform not for the countrymen but the U.S. market was behaving in a way that
people residing within it were frightened by the existing condition of the economy. There were
wars, economic turmoil, housing bubbles, financial crisis, less infrastructural development from
the grassroots level, etc. All of this factors may seem to boost to the economic condition but also
it led the human being into jeopardy as they are impacted by the economic condition of the
country.

Yes in my opinion the zombie metaphor is a popular metaphor as it is able to
significantly interpret the inability of the country people to fulfil their dream and adhere with the
economic activities in an effective manner. Very people within the country is dependent upon the
performance of its economy however the fact that the people of America were psychologically
inclined towards watching movies upon zombies due to the reason that they realized that that the
current reality of the them within the country is similar to it. They are mentally challenged based
on the country’s situation. To emphasize on this issue it can be incorporated that the zombie
metaphor reflects that the people were stagnant and mentally challenged regarding their
sustenance within the country (Fine, 2017). They are just like pawns that are just used by the
economic condition and their hopes were victimized in the hands of capitalism and fascism that
were found to be prevalent with the U.S economy. Notably, human beings are social beings and
when they felt that in the U.S economy there is less stability and their future is found to be less
secure as the situation was that the “winner takes it all”. After 1990s through the situation
changed and there was a shift of preference within people towards vampire tales and romantic
werewolves however, after the 9/11, financial crisis due to housing bubbles people again started
to fear with the stability and credibility of the economic sustenance in the long run. Moreover,

presence of foreigners that were given equal privilege in their country rendered challenge to the
citizens of U.S as they faced significant competition from the foreigners. U.S economy was in an
endeavor of boosting the national income but were found reluctant in providing infrastructural
framework in the sectors of education, empowerment of common people and cultural
development from the grassroots level.

The imperial confidence of was hindered within the native people due to the reason that
consecutive turmoil were prevalent due to wars, economic instability, housing bubbles, financial
crisis, less infrastructural development from the grassroots level in sectors like education,
empowerment of common people and cultural development, etc. which were not executed. The
solution to this problems that was outlined in the article comprised of ensuring infrastructural
development from the grassroots level and boosting the economy followed by strengthening the
education sector, higher educational opportunities, employment opportunities in the energy
sectors that will turn the wastelands into fertilized lands and irrigated waterways, etc. that will
empower the country youths by raising their willingness towards practicing a disciplined culture
that changes the mindset towards not only increasing the productivity of the nation and gross
domestic product but also intrinsically recovering into their belief and trust over the economy
that can render them a secure future followed by credible and sustainable living economic
environment (Lane & Stephan, 2015). This will work as an axis in enhancing the confidence of
common people and their will be able to rebuild their future themselves.

Government should focus on funding activities and facilitating training that will
increasing the psychic willingness within people. The notion of true development within a

country is not building skyscrapers but in ensuring that the people of the economy is over the
poverty line and the measure of dispersion is low which lead to a lower inequality within the
country people. Along with that the people of the country will be able to create assets for
themselves and will not become a liability for the country rather the country will be utilize their
country people for building the nation without hiring people from abroad (Lauro, 2017). The
notion of walking dead is revealing the fact that if the government of the country do not boost the
country and keep them mentally handicapped then the economy of the country have rich high
GDP growth but will not be able to ensure that the economy has reached the take off stage
towards a stage of sustainable development that will not get trapped again in a state of vicious
circle of poverty or the morale of the country people will not get reduced in the long run. The
inequality in the income distribution of people will get reduced if they have the ability to pay for
the goods and services that they want to consume as well as they works as a productive resource
for the country by revealing their productivity in the form of assets to the country so that people
from other countries want to hire them to raise their national income and ensuring national
welfare of those countries (Datta, 2018). There should be less gap between the rich and the poor
and every citizen should gain equal opportunity like that of other. It is found that the native
students are not able to compete with international student due to the reason that their base on the
subject are not strong enough as the other foreign student. This is due to the reason that the
government has focused in only raising capital but not on creating own assets which are its
country people, encashing whom in future the country will be able to earn capital in the long run.
So infrastructural development from the grassroots level is the need of the hour for the
government of the country in order to raise the willingness of the country people and to make

them effective leaders that are not zombies with inabilities but humans, who can create a better
future by nullifying economic inequality.
