Development and use of various resources related to learning
should meet the legal requirements(Lewis, 1975).
The copyright Act 1998 , designs patent act 1988. The
owner is given the respective rights in order to decide the
resources that will be read by the users.
Health and safety Act 1974: All the resources used must be
safe and there should be risk assessment carried out in order
to minimise the risk that is involved().

the educator frequently use the computers. By considering
this it should be kept in mind that risk assessment should be
conducted at the workplace.
The information should be provided to each person and
educate about the use of the resource in this sector and
measures to avoid the risk .

important legal requirements and the equality act
2010 is introduced in order to protect the rights of
the person and protect them from any
discrimination that place.
All the leaner’s should have equal access to
education, goods and services. The learner should
also be given equality of opportunity.
World intellectual property organisation has suggested various laws in order to enforce the
intellectual property rights related to literary artistic , performance of performing artist , scientific
discoveries etc.
It should also be noted that the
learners should specify the originality
from where the resources are gathered
by putting the references.
On the other hand if it is prohibited
not to share the work with others it is
necessary to comply with such
provisions .

It is important for the students as well as the educator to abide by the
laws and regulations while using the work of the other people or
writers which also includes the various teaching resources in order to
ensures that there is no violation of the laws(Owen, 2015). It is
necessary to make various strategies in order to protect the work of
other and ensure that people are not misusing or using it by their own
name .It is also suggested to use to resources that is obtained by doing
survey or primary sources.
Under the copyright act is very important to comply with the rules and
regulations which include photocopying, scanning etc. The employer
should ensure that employees are fully aware about the organisation
and all the contractual obligations and they ensure that all the activities
conducted should be protection under the data protection act.
Implication of intellectual property rights and copyright for the
development of resources
It is necessary for the learner to comply with the provision that
is stated under the regulation of copyright act and it is also
necessary to use the resources with proper evidence rather than
its own name. In addition to this the users have limited access
to some sites in order to collect the materials and can be used
only when subscribed.
