Q1. As an education assistant, I will try to team up with the Muhammed’s parents by
developing a consistent plan with them about how they can assist him to be more outgoing
(Hanko, 2018). The change of classroom arrangement can also help Muhammed to overcome
shyness. Muhammed should be allowed to seat at the front of their class as this will help him to
be initiated, closer as well as maintaining eye contact.
Q2. I will encourage him to undertake the following: exercise; enough sleep, eating
regularly, and doing something that makes him smile as all these factors will promote his self-
esteem. This is because the causative agents of self-esteem are our social life, lives and thought
as well as the environment.
Q3. Yes, I will encourage IEP. This is because being shy to Muhammed is a disability as
it hinders him from getting the required education. IEP will create a suitable environment where
students, parents, and teachers work together thereby improving results for children especially
those with disabilities like Muhammed (Luke, 2018).

Q5. I will recommend them to have a general meeting and have a discussion on how to
come up with a new strategy to replace that does not work. It will increase the performance of
IEP.

Q6. John can be included in the game by allowing him to participate in wheelchair
basketball. This will give him an opportunity to participate in the game despite his disability.
Q7. The modifications that will be needed are on the teaching style, equipment, and the
rules. I will present them by first explaining and having a discussion with them on the
importance of undertaking those modifications to encourage inclusion for all the people
including John.
Q8. To allow for the incorporation of the disabled player, I will reduce the number of
players if possible and remove some of the rules like the double dribble rule as this will not favor
John.

Q9. I will offer help strategies by teaching the entire players on how to ask for assistance
in a suitable manner. I will inform them of the consequences that are in place for those who call
others names.
Q10. I will also tell all the students to stop being emotional as it is a friendly game. I will
inform them of the importance of playing as a team.
Q11. My role and responsibility are to ensure that there is a suitable environment that
benefits all the students including John. I should ensure that John health is in not at risk during
the game and prevent any accident that he may undergo.

and services in Western Australia. It cares for an individual with complex disabilities. The
organization offer Therapy services to families. It also provides Respite care at home. It provides
early childhood care.
