Introduction
People chose different types of careers based on various factors. Some of the determining
factors may include interests, personality, financial aspects, cultural background as well as social
and economic factors. Despite the multiplicity of these factors, all are considered important
career choice factors. Therefore, while choosing a career, an individual needs to take time and
pay attention to the kind of job that perfectly matches their values, character, personality
economic status or cultural background. This essay reflects on my choice of teaching as my
profession.
Teaching is a profession I have adored for quite a long time. There are, however, several
reasons that have influenced my interests in the teaching profession. One thing that I am quite
passionate about is working with young people. One of the reasons that have informed my choice
of the teaching profession is, therefore, the desire to work with young people and make a
difference in their lives. In this regard becoming a teacher will offer me an excellent opportunity
to fulfill one of my greatest desires, which is working with young people.
Secondly, the classroom experience comes with a lot of fun for teachers. The pleasure
associated with teaching is, therefore, one of the reasons related to my choice of teaching
profession. One of the things that make me adore the classroom experience is the creativity
displayed by different students is solving class-based questions. Additionally, working with
young people much helps teachers to become creative as they strive to address problems and
issues raised by students. Furthermore, young people tend to be quite open, get silly at time and
