Introduction
Educational artefacts enables an individual to document the
task which are done by the tutors or teachers at off stage for preparing to and
reflect on their task with their students. This presentation is based on reflection
on learning Microsoft and PowerPoint along with a SMART framework and steps
to meet objectives.
My personal SWOT analysis
Strengths: I am good at critical and analytical thinking as well as reading
skills and these skills enable me to gain the knowledge along with drawing
inferences through analysing my readings (Esko and Miettinen, 2019). My
vocabulary is also good which facilitate me in gaining understanding of
concepts as well as theories and increases my reading skills.
Weaknesses: I am weak at communication skills which create complexities
in clearing and defining my views and ideas.
Opportunities: I have an opportunity to improve my writing skills because
I am much engaged in researching and reading content.
Threats: My procrastinating behaviour is a threat for me as it restrains my
skills development that is primarily because of my engagement in other
socializing as well as funny activities.
Reading strategies
My reading strategies are focused
clarifying and questioning various
aspects so that I can develop
understanding on subject matter.
Moreover, I focus upon
summarizing elements after reading
concepts.
My Smart goals
Specific: I want to participate in group discussions for increasing
communication skills.
Measurable: I want to get acknowledgement from mentors who
organise such group activities.
Attainable: I want to give a speech in my university on a
particular topic to minimise the problem of hesitation.
Relevant: Improvement in communication skills will facilitate
me in career development in long-term.
Time-bound: By the end of semester.
Learning styles
As per the VARK Model which includes four different styles of
learning such as visual, auditory, reading and writing as well as
kinaesthetic, I have visual learning style that helps me in gaining
the knowledge and information through watching the videos or
graphics (Mariotti and Montone, 2020). My aim is to evolve
kinaesthetic learning style for performing activities instead of
listening or watching lectures or demonstrations.
Gibbs reflective cycle
Description: I described my
plan to develop personality by
conducting SWOT Analysis.
Feelings: I feel organised as
well as motivated after
examining SWOT analysis.
Evaluation: I evaluated my
strengths and weak points as
well as evolved constructive
plans to overcome lack of
communication skills.
Analysis: I analysed that my
threats can get avoided through
effective execution of my
SMART goals.
Conclusion: I concluded that I
have to concentrate on strategies
of reading and learning styles
for personal and academic
development with focussing on
communication skills.
CONCLUSION
From above
explanation of the presentation, it
has been concluded that artefacts
are crucial in education as they
permit a person to use their sense as
well as developing queries. Along
with it, problem-solving skills,
empathising with individuals from
past and making strong
understanding of a period are also
concerned with this topic.
