INTRODUCTIONFrom new opening to expansion manager of the firm has to take several decisions thatdirectly aid in the profitability aspect of firm. Now, business units are placing high level ofemphasis on expanding the business operations and functions. Thus, business entity musthave information regarding the market trend, customer preferences etc. In this regard, byusing statistical tools manager of the firm can derive valuable framework for decisionmaking. The present report is based on UK CBC which offers educational facilities andservices to the students. Hence, it is famous college of London that makes contribution in thebright future or career of individuals. In this, report will describe the manner in which datacan be collected to get information about the experience and satisfaction level of students.Besides this, it will develop understanding about the statistical tools such as quartile,percentile and correlation. Further, it also depicts the way in which project management tooland investment appraisal technique facilitates effectual decision making. TASK 11.1 Framing plan for the collection of primary and secondary data On the basis of cited case situation, with the motive to get information about theexperience and satisfaction level of students UK CBC is willing to conduct research. Therationale behind this, without having proper insight about the student’s views and suggestionsit is not possible for the college institution to take suitable action in the right direction. Byconsidering all such aspects owner of college institution has taken decision in relation toconduct research. For the purpose of research, scholar requires enough and suitable data toconduct investigation in the best possible way. Moreover, in the absence of having suitableinput researcher would not become able to derive suitable solution of issue. Thus, bothprimary and secondary data sources will be undertaken by the researcher to gather suitableinformation regarding the experience and satisfaction level of students. Primary data collection: Data that researcher specifically gathers, first time, forfulfilling the objective is known as primary data. There are several methods that canbe undertaken to gather primary data such as observation, focus group and survey. Byusing such methods primary information can be obtained by the researcher. Primaryinformation is highly significant which in turn enables researcher to address the issue

or problem in an effectual way. Hence, scholar will conduct survey to identify thestudent’s expectation, satisfaction level and experience regarding the educationalservices provided by UK CBC. The rationale behind the selection of such method thatit helps in getting suitable information regarding issue through the means ofquestionnaire. For survey purpose, researcher will select 20 respondents such asstudents of UK CBC by using purposive technique. Once sampling procedure hasbeen done thereafter scholar will prepare questionnaire by including questionsregarding course, teaching staff, educational environment and other services. Hence,by sending such questionnaire on the personal mail-id of UK CBC student’s data willbe gathered by the researcher. In this way, by gathering and analyzing such primarydata scholar would become able to present suitable solution of issue which is going tobe investigated. Primary data collection plan is as follows:In order to gather data scholar will prepare questionnaire by including questions aboutthe services of educational institution. Hence, by preparing questionnaire and sending the same to the 20 students of UKCBC data has been gathered by the researcher. By sending questionnaire on the mail id of students data will be collected. Hence, byfollowing such plan data is collected by the researcher. Secondary data collection: In the recent time, several people are involved in the fieldsof research and conduct study in several areas. Hence, data of research which isanalyzed and published by some other authorities in known as secondary. Source ofsecondary data includes books, journals and scholarly articles. In this, to gather dataabout the trend of educational services and facilities researcher will evaluatesecondary sources. Hence, researcher will make evaluation of books, journals andscholarly articles which are related to the educational institutions and services throughthe means of internet. Moreover, internet has wide collection of secondary data whichin turn helps researcher in meeting the goals and objectives. Hence, by collecting bothprimary and secondary information researcher would become able to evaluate trend inthe possible way. 1.2 Designing survey methodology and sample selectionSurvey methodology: In order to conduct survey in an effectual way research needs tochoose specific methodology. Hence, to extractinformation regarding the student’s views and preferences researcher has takendecision in relation to conduct online survey. Such methodology is cost effectual waywhich in turn helps in getting valuable information within the fewer time frames. Inaccordance with such methodology researcher will approach to administrationdepartment of UK CBC and thereby gets the mail-id of students. Thereafter,researcher will send questionnaire to the individuals on their mail-id. In this way, bysending questionnaire to the students of UK CBC researcher will gather informationabout their satisfaction and experience levels.Sampling frame: Suitable sample can be selected by the researcher from largepopulation through the means of probabilistic and non-probabilistic samplingtechnique. Sampling in which researcher gives equal chance to respondents is termedas probabilistic. On the other side, non-probabilistic sampling technique refers to theone in which researcher selects sample on the basis of experience and idea. In this,simple random sampling technique has been used by the scholar to select the sampleof 20 students of UK CBC. The rationale behind using the simple random samplingtechnique is that it reduces the level of biasness to a great extent. Such samplingtechnique is the part of probabilistic which in turn helps in selecting suitablecandidates for the survey purpose.
