Tourism is for pleasure or business and it is also for touring. Hence it occupies the
biggest part in the growth of economy of a country. The report presents the importance of
tourism in Italy where it covers four destination Rome, Tuscany, Marche and Umbria. Report is
completely based upon literature review and describe the importance of tourism in this particular
destination.

As per the view of Sharpley (2018) tourism is a travel which provide pleasure to people
and also attract many people and further entertaining tourist. Moreover, it is a business which
can be national as well as international and it has been consider that it is a major source of an
income for many countries. Therefore, tourism share their biggest part for the growth of an
economy and also suffer a long when a country is affecting from recession or inflation.
Impact of tourism upon Italy
According to Gmelch and Kaul (2018) Italy is considering in third place in Europe and at
global level it is ranked in fifth place where people spend their holidays. Even more than 40
percent of the foreigners spent their nights in Italy and because of the tourism industry, Italy's
GDP growth is raise from 9 percent from last years.
However, it has been critically evaluated by Bustreo and et.al., (2018) that in Italy
tourism is one the economic sector which is actually suffer significant economic changes it is so
because of the shifting of tourist flows that further weak the economies. Moreover, the city gets
twice human traffic and this directly affect the environment condition of the country and as a
result, it creates much pollution and it further led to serious disruption of the freshwater of
ecosystem.

According to Scheg and Stangl (2018) Rome is considering the most important tourist
destination on the world because of having incalculable greatness of their archaeological and art
treasures. The history of Rome is such that it is one of the most powerful city at the time of
Western civilization and as the time passes, it become one of the most important cities for

which are world famous and historical building that attract many tourist towards it. Even in 2005
the city received 19.5 million tourists who visited the spot and also reached 8th place in the
ranking of world 150 most visited cities. Having a world famous museum also makes Rome one
of the most popular city and attractive city among all. The city is also well developed and having
a plenty of transportation facility makes it differ from others and consider in top 100 tourist
places.

Pranzini and et.al., (2018) stated that Tuscany is the world famous place in Italy which is
famous for their fine art in a world and because of having extraordinary paintings as well as
sculptures of frescoes and their unique architectural masterpieces many tourists are attracted to
visit this place for a once. The place is famous for its fine art in all over world such that there is
no place where such a fine art is found. Even the cuisine and wine are also famous and is the
another visiting point for the tourist. Moreover, many tourists also enjoy the mountain paths and
rolling hills where most of the tourist come and spend their summer vacations. It is considering
one of the famous place because of having fine art and their castle or churches that make a place
different from others and that is why many of the tourist come and enjoy the place for a once.
The main tourist point of Tuscany is Florence, Pisa, Montecatini Terme. It has been analysed that
the Village of Castiglione Della Pescaisa is the most visited place in Tuscany because it is

and its cost are further comprises of rolling hills as well as fertile plains and the bordered
of this city is covered with Umbria. The place is famous because of having beautiful
Adriatic beaches and historical towns which are floating on the hilltops. As compared to
Tuscany, this place is considered as one of the most beautiful place that further have
hassles of high price as well as large crowds. Beside this, in Marche there are so many
other places such as Conero Rivera which is also hanging upon a sea and located in
between the heart if mount conero and on the other side, it is also covered with regional
park that protected environmental oasis.
Apart from this, Ferrucci and et.al., (2017) stated that in Marche, Monti Sibillini
National park is another point of attraction that attract wide range of tourist towards it. This
place comprises 50 mountain peaks that represent the natural beauty and that is the only

territory of nature reserve that is fully covered with Fiasrea Abbey. People going this
region in order to enjoy the activity such as tracking and waling in this type of hills and
many families also come to spend their summer vacations.

makes it different from other cities. Having a balanced nature and its natural beauty attract many
tourist towards it and considered second largest most visiting place after Rome. Entire Umbria is
covered with mountain and peak and it further surrounded with greenery and that is why also
known as green heart of Italy because of having such a beautiful and natural beauty that
differentiate it from other city. In addition to this, a marvellous waterfall which is also immersed
in nature, old beech woods, deep caves and mountain steeped with ancient legends are also
added in their beauty. Therefore, it shows that Umbria is also consider one of the most beautiful
city where person comes to enjoy their vacations.
