Twenty staff members are employed in this restaurant working on part tome and fill time basis. They belong to different cultures and background. Although there are no differences have been occurred in the services and but communication barriers become problems sometimes and the because of tensions surrounding the probability of Brexit, relationship between the British and non-British workers have been identified in the restaurant. Some of the challenges and obstacles of effective communication includes irregularity of communication, relying to the technology to deliver the messages, supposing the audience recognizes the jargon, not listening to the workers, not making the communication a headship function, and assuming that everyone is a brilliant communicator. Some of the barriers include perception barrier (difference in opinion), emotional obstacles (fear and doubt), language barriers, cultural barriers, and physical barriers (closed door and cabins for employees). These challenges and barriers hinder the effective communication inMr Fishyand affect the healthy relationships (Jenifer and Raman, 2015). Slangs can cause confusion and a source of frustration, therefore it must be avoided. Being aware of cultural differences can help in understanding one another in an organization. Keeping the doors open can help employees to interact easily with the managers and other higher authority members. It will help them to develop a sense of belongingness and it will develop a healthy environment where employees can discuss their problems and new ideas with any barrier. As language is the most common barrier, it must be removed by using language apps that allows the user to interpret the language (Kent et al., 2016).
