Introduction
An individual must be able to communicate effectively. This is what enables people to
pass information to others and understand each other. Communication can be regarded as the
simplest the transferring act of data and information from one person to another. This can be
vocally, visually, written or non-verbally. In Practice, this can be referred to as a combination of
all of these.
The Importance of Communication & the Different Skills to Improve It
Firstly, know the Person, One of the ways to improve the communication process is
deciphering the person with whom the communication is taking place. Secondly, through body
language, this is automatic and transmits the emotionality at a given moment. A person can be
proactive and influence body Language. An individual must have the ability of communication
and therefore gaining more confidence. The person needs to maintain eye contact and keep the
open posture. Rereading is an important aspect which cannot be left behind.
The workplace communication includes active listening, adopting the communication style to
audience, friendliness, and confidence, giving and receiving feedback, and clarity and volume.
Some of the challenges include empathy and responsiveness and understanding the nonverbal
cues.
Some of the Strategies include constructive criticism in which a communicator must focus on
objective opinion and identify what to focus on. The other one is communication skills workshop
classes in which a communicator can understand seminar and communication workshops.
