Project Outline
Introductory Background
Construction Waste Management has been an aspect of Sustainable development that has
been enhanced with developing concern in environment. The construction process management
process has been focused on reduce, reuse, recycle and effectively dispose of wastes based on
based on last cost, time and quality of project. This project has focused on sustainable
development of construction industry in the market. The project led to construction material
effective waste management. As discussed in earlier assignment about two case studies of
construction in India, this project has focused on results obtained from those case studies and
implementing it on Australian Construction industry.1 Australia has been concerned with
construction management. The theoretical framework and budget of the project have been
provided in the project analysis.
Research questions
Following are the research questions:
What are Critical Success Factors (CSF), strategies and techniques in construction
process?
What are proper competencies for designing out waste from construction projects?
How to develop an integrated and management strategies and techniques?

Aim and Research objectives
This project aims at studying several construction waste management strategies and
techniques utilized for effective construction management.
Following are the objectives of the project:
To investigate Critical Success Factors (CSF), various strategies and techniques in
construction processes
To determine proper competencies for designing out waste from construction projects
To develop an integrated and management strategies and techniques
Significance/Contribution to the discipline
Construction waste has been referred to unwanted materials coming out from any
construction. Waste management has been a wide concept that is implemented during the
outcome of any construction produces waste into the environment.2 Waste management has been
an important process that helps in maintaining smart approach in development of environment.
The scale of waste generation has been depending on the type of industry. As research done, the
Australian construction industry has been contributing 60% of total waste generated in all of the
other industries in Australia.3 Australian landfill site include about one-third waste of
construction origin. These figures have been creating an alarming situation in construction
industry of Australia. The significance of project has been focused on the identifying the reasons
due to which there has been increase in the generation of wastes in the construction industry.
There has been a significant approach required for identifying effective strategies and techniques
