INTRODUCTION
This essay generally focuses of the analysis of the effective decision making process
which helps in perform better in the team. There are various effective strategies which will
impact the group process to become more productive in an effective manner.
Reflection of the team dynamics and decision making
Team dynamics is referred to the behavioural relationship between the individuals. They
can perform better if there is a proper relationship between the teammates. The team dynamics
needs to be positive. This will help the team to achieve different gaols and capitalise on different
opportunities in the future (Delice, Rousseau, and Feitosa, 2019). The team can improve the
productivity with the implementation of different strategy in an effective manner. The Edmonson
model is an effective model is influence the team level performance with the help of different
mechanisms. This model certainly investigates the physiological safety of the tame and help
them to perform better in different conditions. It is one of the most emerging theory which makes
the team more dynamic in every manner.
In relation to team dynamics in the simulation there was a safe environment which helps
time to perform better. I can personal enhance my overall knowledge by acquiring different skills
and capabilities (Bisbey, and Salas, 2019). I take the charge of leadership in order to make the
team function better in different situations. I use the style of democratic leadership in which
multiple individuals can give certain suggestions. Through this all the team members were
encouraged to perform better. They are capitalising on different opportunities on order to
complete the work in an accurate manner. There is a positive team environment which is
established it is generally favourable to the team. In the team we work in a coordinate way I take
various suggestion form the teammates in order to improve different critical areas. I help them
the members to asses different situations effectively. Through this we work in a coordinated
manner. The team performance has been significantly improved over a period of time.
Decision making process needs to effective which helps the individual to attain different
gaols and objectives. There are various great results which can be achieved by the individuals if
the decision making process is commence with different strategies and methods. The use of
different theories will make it more effective in every aspect. On the other hand, in order to take
effective decisions there is a positive environment which is established. The team is able to

achieve different goals and objectives in a effective manner. I personally believe that our team
efficient performance has come with the help of different strategies and approaches. The main
vision is to make the decision making process more efficient. Through this we are able to counter
on different opportunities. While performing in the team I was able to enhance my knowledge
and able to achieve different targets. Moreover the focus is to improve different areas in a
systematic manner (Назаров, 2021). There is a compatibility while working in the team. I have
enhanced my most strategic skills which includes effective decision making. This will help me to
perform better in efferent situations. With the help of Edmondson model there is a positive
environment in which all the individuals can take effective decisions. They are also able to fit in
the team better. There are various stages in the simulation game which has help me to improve
my critical areas. In order to make effective decisions me and my team are able to discuss and
understand and each other perspectives. This will help to perform better in different situations
and I am able to achieve different goals and objectives. In the decision making process there are
multiple decisions which is taken by our team in an effective manner. There are new results
which has been achieved by making the decision making process more fluent.
It is a well-known fact that in order to become more efficient and productive, companies
must ensure that most of their business operations are undertaken by groups of people as a high
performing team rather than being individualistic (Nazarov, 2021). However, not all teams in an
organization are classified as high performing teams as there are many complex factors which
are related to team performance and team building which have a major effect on the way in
which their productivity fluctuates in a company. The reason as to why some companies struggle
even in simulated environments such as the one provided by the BSG is because they do not take
into account some overlooked factors which affect the way teams behave and are selected such
as psychological factors which I considered at every step of the BSG. In order to ensure proper
and strategic decision making in relation to the way teams are built in a professional setting, it is
very important to analyse the way in which behaviour of team members are affected due to
innovative psychological factors (Uitdewilligen, Rico, and Waller, 2018). One of the major
elements of psychological factors which affect team making and building is the element of
perception which can be better understood with the help of ‘self-consistency framework’ which
clearly presents a theoretical perspective about an employee’s and tea’s self-perception in the
workplace affecting the quality of their work in both negative and positive manner. Another

theory which influenced the way in which I built and managed my team in the BSG across
several years is the ‘self-consistency theory’ which helps establish the connection between team
performance and behaviour with elements of perception. For example, the presence of factors
which negatively affect one’s perception such as rumour milling and workplace gossips has been
researched to reveal having a debilitating effect on the way in which team’s perform in the
company.
As far as rules and regulations are concerned in the BSG and the role which I played, the
major focus was on the process of marketing which is one of the most important business
processes in the modern environment (Kochenderfer, Wheeler, and Wray, 2022). The concept of
marketing goes beyond the one that is of selling as marketing is more concerned with the process
of being market oriented and providing maximum value to the customers by properly segmenting
the market along with providing additional after sales services. Since I played the role of
marketing manager, I had the immense responsibility of ensuring that my company’s product and
services were being thoroughly supplemented using the best means of promotion and
advertisement as possible and this was quite a stressful job as I was responsible for a budding
team of marketing executives and workers which I had to manage in a proper manner. As a part
of my job as the marketing manager, I was required to perform industry specific research on their
market and the competitors and all the major decisions in this regard along with the ones taken in
light of the data collected by the research were done with all the team members in unison which
is important as all team members need to stay on the same page. The team leader did a very good
job in ensuring that all the team members were duly participating in all major activities in the
BSG which helped promoter harmony in team but unfortunately we ran into a lot of conflicts
during the attempted simulation. It can be seen from analysing quarter 3 that we collectively
decided as a team to run discounts on our fare fleets but the advertising budget was quite low
which created operational issues. After thoroughly discussing this issue with my team, I along
with the president of the company went into discussion wherein I proposed the idea of doubling
the advertisement budget which did not go along well as the finance and operations manager
refused to sign off on this idea (Dos and et.al 2019). Another major conflict which arrived was in
the form of the president refusing to double the budget ass planned which can be attributed to the
element of perception which was analysed above as she perceived herself as being the most
logical and practical. We overcame this problem using ‘conflict resolution theory’ which is

designed to help address quarrels in the workplace by integrating proper standards of
communication and this helped us immensely as we addressed the president directly and made
her understand our point of view which resulted in the marketing budget increasing to almost
double in quarter 4 of the BSG (Pieterse, Stiggelbout, and Montori, 2019). Overall I w quite
satisfied with the decisions related to marketing which we took as a team as the results which we
achieved in later quarters were quite promising and we managed to promote the company’s
operations and products in a cohesive manner while being a high performing team for a
significant duration of time. Therefore, the team was work well in order to achieve the objective
of the game which has shown positive contribution of the members. Requirement of he potential
factors which involved decisions and positive and negative thoughts throughout the team role
and achievements. The vsg game was the opportunities for the team members as well in order to
achieve necessary target and formulation of the coordination among them. It reflect that there are
various skills like time management, communication and effective working is required for
enhancing team building and togetherness.

Reflective statement
I have done this project on strategy and implementation in which I am failed. There are
various critical areas in which I am lacking. I have critically understood my mistake which is
given in the feedback. I was unable to read the brief properly and not able to complete the given
tasks in an effective manner. There is lack of skills which includes the decision making etc. In
the future I am clear bout my goals and through this I will able to perform better in different
situations. There are different theories which I have not able to understand and not included in
the team dynamics and decision making. I have properly understand this theory in an effective
manner. Through this I am able to achieve better results in the future. There are multiple new
opportunities on which I can capitalise. I am thankful for the opportunity to complete this
assessment again. I am able to enhance my overall knowledge while completing this assessment.
There is a proper methods in order to complete this project I have understand it effectively.
There are new results which can be achieved by me in the second chance. The work has now
done effectively to improving all the areas in which I was lacking and able to improve it in an
effective manner. I have understand the given points which needs to be improved in a proper
manner. In the future I am able to perform better and I have capitalised in my mistakes
effectively.
