Introduction
Sleep is one of the basic needs of human life. As a result of the huge work pressure, people
often get cannot sufficient sleep (Touitou, Reinberg and Touitou 2017). Inadequate sleep is
harmful as it causes many diseases. For example, an adult who is suffering from sleeplessness
might have issues like severe headache, diabetes, and others. This essay had mainly dealt with
the impacts on human body due to lack of sufficient sleep.
High blood pressure
Organ Failure
People who do not get a good amount of sleep often run the risk of suffering from high blood
pressure. This is because each and every organ of the human body have to undergo some rest. If
an individual is getting very less amount of sleep, then there will be hindrances in the blood
circulation (Krause et al. 2017). For an instance, people who do not sleep properly for at least
5 hours at night run the risk of having high blood pressure. Thus it is important for them to
go for proper health check-ups
Risk of diabetes
People who have some minds of sleep disorders have the risk of getting diabetes. Lack of
sleep will affect the amount of insulin that is released by the body. Thus people who are not
sleeping properly will be having less of this hormone. Thus their bodies do not have sufficient
amount of hormone to reduce the amount of high blood sugar levels.
For an example people who do not sleep properly have a tendency of developing the type 2
Diabetes.
