1.INTRODUCTION
Background of the study
In the present time, the demand of the electric car has been increasing day by day or will
also reach its peak in the future. It is because the electric vehicle are solving various
environmental and economic related issue in which reducing carbon emission is one. Carbon
emissions are the emission stemming from the burning of the fossil fuels as well as the
manufacture of cements. With the introduction of electric cars the sell and usage of fossil fuel
vehicles has drastically reduced which are basically powered by petrol, diesel, fuel oils etc.
Hence, the electric cars are beaming popular in the current world which is full of technological
innovation (Li, Wang and He, 2020). As the electric cars are run on electricity thus no
greenhouse gas emission and carbon emission come from those electric vehicles.
This indicates the importance of electric cars on carbon emission reduction and protecting
the environment as well as the lives on the earth. In this way, it can be said that the issue that
current topic is addressing is carbon emission and environmental issue which might be arisen
because of highly use of vehicles powered by fossil fuels and is one of the fastest way to tackle
with the issue of climate change. However, on the other hand, the inadequate charging
infrastructure and the risk of grid overload is the major challenges that facing by the electric
vehicle market in introducing electric car.
Aim and Objectives
Aim:
 The aim of the current investigation is “To assess the impact of using electric cars over
carbon emission reduction”.
Objectives:
1. To understand the concept of electric cars and carbon emission.
2. To identify the impact of using electric cars over the reduction of carbon emission.
3. To explore the various challenges of the usage of electric cars in EV market.
4. To recommend the suitable solutions in order to deal with the challenges of electric car
usage.
