This systematic review analyzes the occurrence of emerging contaminants in whales compared to other sea mammals. The review aims to provide information to environmentalists, government agencies, local communities, and the public concerned about the environment. The study design is secondary, and the search strategy includes key search terms, Boolean operators, and databases such as PubMed, GreenFILE, Science Direct, and CAB Direct. The inclusion and exclusion criteria and screening for eligibility are also discussed.
