2. Rationale:
1. Problem domain: The autonomous driving provides many optimistic predictions for
the impacts of autonomous vehicles and their potential benefits. Some of the companies started
offering self-driving taxi service and sells system of self-driving that are installed in the car
(Kalra & Paddock, 2016). It can be stated that autonomous driving eliminates all traffic
accidents, the parking problems, and reduces the emission of pollution by the car. The problem
that is faced by the driverless cars are the truck drivers are becoming jobless leaving them to
unemployment and includes very few prospects in different industries. They also face
technological threats by the attackers.
2. Purpose and justification: The main purpose of the study is to know the impact of the
autonomous driving in the automobile industry. The emerging technology of autonomous driving
is a promising, and a rapid developing technology in this innovative world (Litman, 2017). The
autonomous driving is considered as a game changer in the industry of automotive,
transportation, all the small cities and in all other sector as well. The autonomous driving has
become one of the hot topic in both corporate blogs that helps in specializing the autonomous
technology of driving as well as automotive magazines.
3. Research Questions:
The research question that are addressed in the research study are:

What are the efficiency of autonomous driving over the traditional vehicles for the
transportation of goods?
How are driverless cars safe and state how to improve the safety aspect of the
autonomous driving with advanced technologies of vehicles?
What are the potential changes of the financial cost as well as benefits that are to be
applied in the autonomous driving technology compared to practical work environment?
4. Conceptual or Theoretical Framework
There are many experts who believes that the truck industry is the most significant
market that involves the technology of autonomous vehicles (Bansal & Kockelman 2017). With
the involvement of technologies the trucking industry shows interest in the technology of
driverless cars and helps them to make high turnover as well as address the regulations limiting
the hours of the truckers.
The greatest risk that is faced by the autonomous driving is the jobs of the drivers. The
drivers of the cars are becoming unemployed because of the autonomous driving technology in
the automobile sector. The truck drivers have strict working as well as fixed driving time that are
limited by the laws and regulations. The time utilization is done by driverless cars.
5. Methodology
5. 1. Analysis of sources of information: The sources included for the research will be
mainly the article, journals and the online books that are available in different online libraries.
The articles that are considered are to be included should specify the topic of autonomous
driving in the trucking industries. For in text citation, the research paper will follow the APA

5. 2. Research method: The most common methods that are usually used for conducting
research are quantitative research methods and qualitative methods. Quantitative method
specifies numbers and figures related with the research study and qualitative method of research
states the information that are gathered from authentic sources. For this research paper, the
research method that will be used is qualitative method of research.
3. Data collection or systems design methods: There are mainly two methods of data
collection that can used for collecting the data in a research. The method of collecting the data is
basically used throughout the research development process. The topic undertaken is to be
analysed by collecting different data from different sources. There are two types of data
collection method; primary data collection method and secondary data collection method.
Primary data collection includes carrying out interviews or survey to the organization associated
with the topic of the research. The secondary method of data collection analyses the data that are
already being collected by different authors in different published papers and concluding a result
from the analysis. For this research analysis, secondary method of data collection will be used as
all the data will be analysed from different published journals, blogs and articles by different
authors.
4. Ethical Issues: The ethics related to this research paper is maintaining all the ethics
rules specified by the government that are to be included in the scientific measure of research
and the research should be valid. The data should be collected from original published papers
and blogs.
