Introduction
Emotional and cultural intelligence play a key role in framing the correct decisions. I
have taken few surveys for the purpose of self-assessment. The surveys are from the GEIT
(Global Leadership Foundation’s Global Emotional Intelligence Test) and DGEI (Daniel
Goleman’s EQ Instrument) sites respectively. The surveys that were portrayed on these sites
comprised of self-accessing and self-evaluating questions. The GEIT site had certain quadrants
like self-awareness, social awareness, self-management and relationship management that were
taken into consideration for the evaluation. On the other hand, in case of DGEI site motivation,
empathy and social skills are some of the aspects that were taken into consideration.
Furthermore, I shared the survey links with two of my closest friends and asked them to take the
test as well in terms of evaluating me on the basis of the results. A critical representation
comprising of the results has been made in this report, using the Johari Window for analysing the
outcomes and areas that need to be worked upon.
Self-Evaluation
On the basis of the results I have gathered, I have prepared a Juhari Window for the
purpose of comparing my personal results with that of the other two results of my friends. This
will help me in various ways to understand my own self and what they think about me on the
basis of their evaluation (Goleman and Boyatzis, 2017). A diagrammatic representation of the
Juhari Window has been provided comprising of the four quadrants. In addition to it, I have also
provided the screenshots of the surveys taken by my friends for the purpose of evaluation.
Introduction

Strengths
On the basis of the results I have gathered by filling up the surveys, it is quite evident that
the self-awareness factor of mine is one of the best out of all the other descriptors. This also
portrays that the emotional intelligence along with the listening skills, enriched within me is
quite high. There are several other benefits of having a good self-awareness including strong
ground for communications and strengthened relationship aspects (Serrat, 2017). A subsequent
improvement of critical analysis and proper decision making are also one of the most beneficial
aspects of being highly self-aware.
Weaknesses
However, self-management is one of my greatest weaknesses that has been put forward
by the survey results as well. Management can be stated as one of the most prominent and
crucially important aspect in the workplace (Saxena, 2015). Often the aspect of self-management
is overlooked. In simple terms, it is the ability to take account of your own work. As my self-
management skills are low, it will definitely affect me in setting my goals thus impacting the

One of the key reasons that I have found for my weak self-management skills is believing in
the myth of “Be your own boss”. However, I have come to understand partially that we are
already our own bosses (Rasheed, 2015). This can be further strengthened and justified, if I focus
more on my self-management skills.

A global citizen can be defined as someone who is completely aware of the world around
him/her and is responsible enough to do his/her part of the job in it (McCleskey, 2014). In order
for me to become a global citizens there are several things that I need to work upon like
respecting and valuing the diversity. I also need to be knowledgeable enough and raise my voice
against any kind of injustice, taking place around me. Creativity, flexibility, pro-activeness and
dedication are also some of the key aspects that I need to consider in order for me to become a
global citizen. The specific competencies that I need to work upon have been mentioned briefly
as follows:
