INTRODUCTION
In order to succeed in the modern business environment, there is a major need
for emotional intelligence especially for managers as they deal with the
workforce in a diverse manner in all operational aspects of the business. This
poster presentation will highlight the need for managers to practice emotional

IMPORTANCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
The modern business environment has been helped tremendously by
phenomenon such as global diversity triggered by the help of globalization. It
has become very easy to conduct business operations both domestically and
internationally but this has also made the management of employees and the
workforce much more complex for managers. The concept of emotional
intelligence refers to the person's ability to control their own emotions and
freely understand and empathize the feelings of other people.
