What is
empathy?
Empathy is the term that is used
to sense other feelings and
emotions. It is important to have
in-depth understanding about the
feelings of the others (Van Der
Pijl, Lokitz & Solomon,
2016). There are three types of
empathy.
Cognitive empathy
Social empathy
Emphatic concern
(Kimbell, 2011).
The process of design
thinking emphasizes on the
necessity of the people
(Dorst,2011).
Give guidance to the
designers to satisfy the needs
of the customers.

1.Consider the different opinions of
customers (Dym, Agogino, Eris, Frey &
Leifer, 2005)
2.Creative solutions for the issues faced
in relation to the feelings of the
consumers (Cruickshank, 2016).
