related to job as well as this helps in understanding intrapersonal requirements of an individual.
Blind area is a feedback opportunity for people working in an organization about an individual
or multiple people, this feedback is given to HR who takes actions as per the situation. This helps
in getting a clarification about where the company policies are lacking. Next on the list is
Hidden area, this factor can be applied onto the team members, an individual who is not good at
a particular task should not reveal it before everyone. This is known as hidden area where fears,
dangers and other disabilities are kept secret as it can influence the reputation of both the
individual and company in market. Last factor is Unknown self, which means that there are
some feelings, activities, abilities, and disabilities, which are not to the person himself, these
abilities, are only recognized with time (Kunc, et al., 2016).

Benefits of networking
Networking is business activity that brings entrepreneurs and businesspersons on a same
platform where they are free to share views, form relationships. It has proved to be a very
effective tool for getting more aware on commercial grounds regarding the human resource
management sector because it helps in strengthening business connections, understanding the
market trend, knowing how to build trust among people and getting new creative ideas to attract
more people towards own firm. During these business meetings various loopholes of other
organizations are identified which can be used as a strength for own business. These meeting
help in understanding the basics which a jobseeker looks for while turning in contact with a
consultancy service.
Networking Event organized in UK
Recently a networking event was held in UK; it was a ‘Volunteering Fair’ where around 80
business organizations assembled on a same platform to offer volunteering programs especially
for students. These kind of networking events helps in understanding the qualities which an
employer or firm owner looks for in an intern or an employee. These events provide a platform
to students in gaining new skills and chance to meet new people from different background.
According to the experience I have obtained, while attending such events the main reason behind
attending the event should be clear in mind (like- seeking for a job, an internship etc.). A person

who is attending networking event should develop contacts with new people; he/she should
know how to highlight their qualities in order to stand out of the crowd (Ford & Mouzas, 2013).
Self-analysis with the help of STAR method
The term STAR stands for situation, task, action and result with the help of this method I have
performed a self-analysis, which helped in acknowledging my basic skills. The analysis I have
made was according to my performance as HR associate for GSM Got Talent. In that event I was
handling the job role of senior team manager (backstage). My job was to supervise the team
working on backstage. During that event because of some communication, error different batch
of contestants was sent on stage instead of the contestant whose name was announced. At that
time, after analyzing the situation, I have to know that the situation needed a frequent action for
this I asked the anchor to make another announcement which managed the situation. Later my
senior of handling the situation without getting nervous or hyperactive also praised me. After this
incident, I got to know that I am capable of handling stressful situations as well. Therefore, I can
assure the REED consultancy service that I will prove to be an asset for their company. I am
capable of handling stressful situations apart from this I am good at multitasking and team
handling which are the most important requirements for the job profile of a Human Resource
Manager (Doll, 2018).
Lessons learnt throughout the study
During the study, as I came across the fact that to become a HRM some of the key skills are
essential like performing various tasks at same time, keeping records of the personnel(s),
