INTRODUCTION
Employability skills are traits and core skills needed in every job position. It includes
effective communication, team work, critical thinking, etc. which are common skills that shuffle
person employable. Sometimes it known as job readiness or foundational acquisition. These
skills allow people to work well and help the other once. Through having these quality's person
resolve the issues that set them into work environment. This report is based on Travelodge hotel
that is located in Thames, UK. In this report will explain the set of person performance
objectives and responsibilities and measure their effectiveness against performance objectives. It
also defines the recommendations for development and used of motivational methods for
improving quality of performance. Furthermore, this study explains the solution to work-based
issues and different style of communicating and appropriate manner. It justifies the people role
that they play in team and identified team dynamics.
TASK 1
1.1 Responsibilities and performance objectives
Travelodge hotel leads all over the hotels business in UK, that build their positive image
in business world. Each and every department of its business help them to make these successful.
I am the head of Organization marketing department and the directing person of whole function
of marketing I give my support to manage all activity of this level.
Responsibility as marketing manager
I am responsible for making decision to run business effectively that help to increased profitably
and business growth. It is my responsibility that I need to focused on indirect and direct
relationships between employee's and others. The biggest responsibility of my job role is I need
to make plansaccordingto government lawsand legislationspoliciesthatmake people
comfortable in workplace.
The most important thing of my job is that I need to identify the target people for
understanding their preferences that help me in the process of marketing.
I am managing all the marketing activities in marketing department that help different
departments of Travelodge hotel to run their business effectively and increased their growth as
well.
It is my responsibility to maximize the business profit margin by arrange events like
seminars,exhibitions,salesconferenceorconsumerhospitalityevents.Ihavemany
responsibilities in Travelodge hotel towards enterprise and marketing employees as I am
responsible for coordinating with each one of them. This is my duty to control credit policy of
company and also the price of marketing functions.The most important responsibility of the job
position that I need to be flexible in any working environment of the organization.
Performance objectives
According to my job position in the organization I have my goals and objectives which I
need to achieve for making Travelodge hotel business more successful against to its business
competitors. Fulfilment of the requirement of customer's is the aim of my profession thus, for
that I make plans or strategies to meet the expectation of people. This the main motive of job is
to make an effective team of marketing department which support during the process of
marketingproductsandservicesoforganization.Performanceobjectivesarespeed,
dependability, quality, cost and flexibility.
Setting and monitoring performance objectives.
To focus on salary levels of employee's and give them bonus payment that develop their
interest of work and improve work performance quality.
To give effective training that is essential for developing their skills and minimize
weaknesses.
To find ways for improving my work performance.
1.2 Effectiveness of Marketing Manager against defined objectives
Strength
Thus, asmarketing manager my performance objective is based on monitoring of
marketing team which will assist in outlining performance appraisals where I need to focus on
fair evaluation. As per this in my opinion I am unbiased manager which helps me in boosting
morale of every person equally. It is my major strength which helps me in meeting this objective
and aid in fair monitoring.Through, evaluate worker's performance I can understand the point
where they need to improve it or developed. This is my strength that I can perform my work
without depending to other people and complete it at appropriate time frame. Flexibility is an
ability of my job role I can operate my any situations and adjust in any environment of
Travelodge hotel. Creativity help in the process of developing promotional strategies for
products and services. This will support the other people in workplace by having various types of
personalities. The biggest strength of my duty that I am very passionate about my job. This will
move my career towards the way of success, even in the time of competition in business.
Flexibility help to adjust in any environment of workplace that has been developed through
external and internal factors which influence on organization business performance.
Weaknesses
Director of marketing department in Travelogue sometimes I cannot successfully operate
the time management function that impact negatively on my job profession. Sometimes I might
be feeling very low in the process of making low budget marketing strategies. That will directly
affect the business growth and profitability. Time management and strategic planning is the most
important things that I cannot to achieved on proper time period that also impact on my team
members working efficiency. The biggest weakness that I faced in my profession which is
communicating with worker's at workplace in Travelodge hotel. All the weaknesses affect my
image and business growth directly that might be minimize profitability and productivity of firm.
The most common weakness of my job profession is low confidence level and lack of
communication. Focusing on salary level and training objective is very effective for business
growth and employee's skills development.
