Topic To develop employability skills for performing functions of HR trainee
INTRODUCTION
Employability refers a quality or set of qualities which makes people able to get
employment or make them suitable for paid work. There are several job roles which require
having some skills such as communication, decision- making, flexibility, time management,
critical thinking and others (Taylor, 2016). It makes an individual or students able to get job as
per their requirement and field. For HR trainee there is requirement of having organizational
skills, training and development skills, communication skills and decision-making skills. People
do not posses all these skills as they have some areas which they need to improve. For that
improvement it is important for them to have knowledge about all those areas. With the help of
strategic analysis, they can identify their both areas in which they are good and in which they are
not effective. Communication skill is one of the main skill which this study will discuss as how it
makes people able to interact with different types of people and influence them. It also makes
them able to solve problems of conflicts by decreasing situations of misunderstanding.
This present study is going to show some ways of identifying own strengths and weaknesses
in order to remove all weaknesses and increasing skills. It will show importance of continuous
professional development as it makes people able in describing their learning activities as well as
skills which can make them able to become a successful professional. With the help of
professional development plan an individual can improve their strengths and decrease their entire
weaknesses fort making them able to perform their functions effectively. This study will also
show all those skills in detail which are required to have for HR trainee in order to support
company in gaining their goals (Philippaers, De Cuyper and Forrier, 2019). By developing skills,
people can improve their career and make them able to take advantages of all external
opportunities in the future. In this context, it can also be said that experience of an individual
plays an important role as it helps them out in performing their activities in an organization and
deal with problems which they had already face before.

Aim- To critically analysis of own strengths and weaknesses and develop skills required for HR
trainee.

Objectives
To identify all skills which support HR trainee in performing their functions.
To critically analyse area of improvement for becoming successful HR.
To implement ways of improving areas of weaknesses.
Rationale
Employability skills play an important role as it makes students and people able to perform
activities and functions of their job role. By developing portfolio, all skills can be identified
which are required to perform functions related to HR in an efficient manner. Employability
skills not only make people able to gain employment for their required job role but it also makes
them able to grow their career and make growth in the future (Tsitskari and et.al., 2017). There
are several common skills which allow people to accomplish their goals and make them differ
than others. This portfolio will focus on my learning experience within the organization like
skills that have been developed during that visit, things that have been learnt by me during that
visit.
