In an organisation there are ample number of individuals working together which
can create conflict and disputes & affect the overall efficiency. Conflict refers to a
situation which arise within the organisation when goals, needs, interest or values
of individuals interfere with one another. There are ample number of techniques
which assist in resolving disputes and conflicts arise within the organisation.
Therefore, it is essential for the managers to understand different conflict
resolution techniques so that they will be able to provide healthy and effective
working environment to their employees.
Strategy one: Avoiding
It refers to the first stage or strategy where an individual ignore or avoid
the situation of conflict. With the help of this method, managers of Orchard Ville
Company decides to choose this method so that they can avoid such situation arise
within the organisation. This as a result considered as one of the easiest strategy in
order to resolve conflict but in this method issues remain unsolved.
Strategy two: Competing
It is the second strategy where employees are not cooperative in nature and
always ready to compete in order to win the situation. It is the strategy which is
not used by the managers of Orchard Ville Company, as it is not effective in order
to solve any kind of problem and negative issues arise within the organisation.
Strategy three: Accommodating
In context of the third strategy, accommodating refers to a cooperative
strategy where an individual have cooperative nature in order to resolve any kind of
negative issues and situations. In the present context of Orchardville Company,
managers highly use this strategy so that they can create positive and conflict free
environment.
Strategy four: Collaborating
It is the method which is commonly used by the managers of Orchardville
Company where individuals have both cooperative and assertive in nature. In this
type of method, each and every member take participation in order to provide
solution so that they can provide better environment to the staff members.
Strategy five: Compromising
Last and most important strategy is compromising where staff members are
partially cooperative and assertive in nature. The main concept of this method is
that every individual gives little bit of what they want and not every person get
everything they want. In the present context of Orchardville Company, managers
use this method in order to provide conflict free atmosphere.
