When teams are build, it is general for individuals to take different roles
according to their ability, character and position. It is necessary for a manger
to assign roles of the team members according to their capability and ability.
For a successful team, it is mandatory to recognize the behavior of each and
every team member and make sure that roles are allocated according to them.
In context to Mansion Care Home houses, manager needs to give proper
roles to their employees according to their knowledge and position. A
manager needs to monitor that each role is being performed in efficient way
in order to achieve organization's goal (Griffiths and et. al., 2018). For being
a responsible team member, Mark need to understand his role properly as a
support worker and should improve his overall performance.
According to Belbin theory, it is necessary for team members to understand
their roles to develop their strengths and to work on their weaknesses to
contribute in a team. Manager of the Mansion care home houses also follows
Belbin model to create balanced team. There are nine different team roles
such as plant, resource investigator, coordinator, monitor evaluator,
specialists, shaper, implementer, completer finisher. These all roles are
assigned to team members according to their strength and weakness for
growth and development of the organization.
