INTRODUCTIONEmployability skills are defined as transferable skills that are required by an individual inorder to make them employable (Arnedillo-Sánchez, De Aldama and Tseloudi, 2018). In thefollowing report, Travelodge has been taken into consideration. It is a Private limited companythat are operating in hotels and also in Hospitality industry all over UK.In the following report, development of own skills and responsibilities has beenexplained. Further, solutions to work based problems and strategies related to time managementand problem solving has been discussed. It also discusses about different roles of team and teamdynamics along with motivational technique to maintain work quality.TASK 11.1 Developing own responsibilities and performance objectivesRole- The role of assistant manager of Travelodge has been taken into consideration. The jobdescription of assistant manager of travel and tourism sector is to plan and sell transportations,accommodations, insurance and other services related to travel. They also have to cooperate withclients and customers in order to determine their requirements and also advise them with properdestination (Bremner, 2018). Thus, being assistant manager of Travelodge, my responsibilitiesand performance objectives has been discussed as per below context-ResponsibilitiesDecision making- This is one of the most important responsibility that assistant managerof Travelodge has to perform. They have to make all types of decisions related to growthand success of business and also allow the members to participate in this process. Thiswill help them in achieving innovative and creative decision.Employment legislation- This is also an important part in every organisation that has tobe adopted by manager of Travelodge. They must adopt various act as data protection act,equality act, disability act which would help them in bringing positivity in workplace andalso in making members feel free and valued.To ensure that policies of company are being followed- This becomes my basicresponsibility if I am playing a role of assistant manager in Travelodge. Thus, I will haveto ensure that the policies of my company in terms of rules and regulations are followedby members following me.3

Hiring, training and developing new employees- Employees play very essential role in order toachieve long term success in business. Therefore, it becomes my responsibility to hire talentedcandidates and provide with effective training and development so that they get motivated andperform in efficient manner.Providing leadership and direction to employees- I also have to provide high level leadership anddirection to my workers. This will help them in pushing their maximum effort in right way whichleads in achieving long term profitability.Performance objectivesIndividual Performance appraisal system- This is a systematic process that helps inassessing about the performance of individual related to job and also in relation withproductivity of a particular organisation. Further, I will also have to raise their salarylevel as per their performance.Rating methods- This can also be used in order to motivate employees to put their high levelefforts and skills in allocated task. Thus, ranking is the best option that will me in finding out thebest employees of my organisation. This will further help me in identifying those individualswho actually requires training in terms of skills development.1.2 Evaluating own effectiveness against defined objectives.The effectiveness or significance of the objectives that has been defined is furtherexplained as per below context-Individual performance appraisal system- This will help me in improving performancelevel of employees as it leads in analysing and evaluating factors that are related toopportunity as technology and social process (Chandiok and Sharma, 2017). Further, itwill also assist me in determining employees’ requirement in terms of training as thissystem provides information about strengths and weakness of members working with mein Travelodge. In addition to this, performance appraisal system will also help indetermining about those individuals those who has to be promoted or rewarded which inturn will increase motivation level of them and their efforts to work hard in the task towhich they are allocated with.Rating method- Rating method will also be effective for me to a great extent. In this the top rankemployee are given the best pay and incentives. This will further help me in increasingproductivity and also the profitability of a cited brand.
