IntroductionIn this assignment of employability skill in travel and tourism industry is focused. There is avast scope of career in the tourism industry. As there is a vast number of job in this field. This reporthas focused on the three themes that are know yourself, know your sector, ‘let them know you’which deals with developing your employability portfolio and the skill of mine (Arnold, 2019) . Asit also included the job description of the career aspiration post that is tour operational manager withits roles & responsibilities ans skills required. With various theories and methods it analysis theskills and abilities. 1. KNOW YOURSELF1.1 Overview of Travel and Tourism Career.The Students have infinite career opportunities in the fastest growing travel and tourismindustry. As I think there is a wider scope of career in travel and tourism industry and my careeraspirations is I want to become a tour operation manager in a biggest company. It is easy to startcareer and business in tourism industry as it is advance sector and has effective growth in sector.According to me any one can make career in the industry as it is fastest growing sector as itinfluence the people for working, it is innovative, has variety and has numbers of job available, italso transfers the skills, it makes the people happy, it influence the learning potential of people. 1.2 Critically appraise of career development theories.Clifton Gallup Strengths: This theory is assessed the online personal assessment test ofoutline user strength. It gives 34 strength in his theory, some of the strength roles are Advisor,connector, creator, equalizer,teacher,achiever, adaptability, stimulator, analytical, learner,influencer, pioneer,provider and many more. The each and every Clifton Strengths sorts into one offour main domains that are strategic thinking, influencing, relationship building, executing. Thepositive impact is that these domains helps in analysing the how people and team use their talent ofwork with their information and influence to build the relationship and if it is not done and usedproperly to misconduct the people and leads to negative impact (Asonitou, 2015).Johari’s Window theories: The Johari's Window modes is very simple and useful tool forunderstanding and training which frames the communication between the individual in terms ofknowledge. It is introduced by Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham in 1955, it emphasis on soft skill such

as behaviour, empathy, co-operations, inter group development, interpersonal skills, self awareness.Sometimes the it is called as discloser and feedback model of self awareness and informationprocessing tool which represents the feelings, experience, views, discipline, focused ideation,learner,communication, self-assurance,connectedness informations, intentions, discipline, focusedideation, learner,communication, self-assurance,connectedness, discipline, focused ideation,learner,communication, self-assurance,connectedness within the person. It shows the perspective ofan individual relation into four groups; Arena, Blind Spot, Facade, The Unknown (Collet, 2015) . The positive aspect of this model is as it is easy to grasp and get the flexible outcomes andthis method catalyses open information sharing as well as create a shared reference point which willvery beneficial for the career development. where as the negative effect of this theory are thatsomething are better not to communicate to audience as people may misuse the information andalso react negatively. It is compulsory to connects and linked its activities which reinforce thepositive behaviour and modify the negative to correct behaviour as this influence and motivates thepeople be become the positive person as leads to the effective and proper career development. 1.3 key strengths for travel and tourism career.By considering the above Johari's window theory, it is analysed that I have identified somekey strengths and some skills that are inbuilt in me which increase productivity and performance ofmine. Those skills and strengths are interpersonal skills, self awareness, co-operations andcoordination with other, inter group development as well as the group diversification and selfmotivation also. Further more by considering the other theory Clifton Gallup strengths, I identifiedthat have have some strength and skills which enhance the performance as well as my personality.In each and every themes I identified my strengths that are:Executing themes: responsible, discipline, focused, achiever, belief, deliberative.Strategic thinking: analytical, futuristic, ideation, learner, strategic.Influencing: activator, communication, self-assurance, command.Relationship building: positivity, adaptability, developer, connectedness(Eid, R. andEl-Gohary, 2015).1.4 Elements of these theories to achieve your career aspirations.This can be explained with the help of the situation, when I am working individually or in a group,the element of Clifton Gallup strengths can be applied which helps in my career aspiration that isoperation tour management. It has 34 strengths which is modified in four parts as strategic thinking,influencing theme, relationship building, executing theme.
