2.1 Work based problems
It can be evaluated from the case that management
faces issues regarding the high employee attrition rate
and low employee morale. Thus, it affects the
productivity of employees at workplace. It affects their
performance and thus success of firm also gets
influenced. Therefore, in order to overcome such
problem, it is required that management needs to take
sound communication with their workers so that best
relationship can be developed.

It is essential for Travelodge hotel to set KPI’s (Key
Performance Indicator) for their workers so that their
job roles can be defined clearly. Also, an agreement
can be made in relation to develop set minimum unit
of production per day and thus encourage them to
lower employee attrition rate by encouraging them to
overcome the issue. With the help of this, firm will be
able to obtain standard production per day in the form
of customer attraction and thus employees of hotel will
be clear that they need to function in order to satisfy
the needs of customers.

Through this, problem of low employee morale will
get resolved as workers will receive encouragement
from their management in terms of rewards so that
success can be attained. Another crucial method need
to be adopted in relation to overcome the problem i.e.
adopting effective communication that will be made
employee remain in workplace for long time period so
that proper focus can be obtained upon customer
satisfaction. Employees are required to initiate and
deliver best services towards hotel so that each and
every needs of individual could be satisfied.

Furthermore, supervisor for each and every department
of hotel requires appointing and making sure that
workers are satisfied from their job role and focusing
upon the needs of consumers. Based upon the
improvement in the work based problems, incentive
will be given to workers as per their performance so
that best quality services can be rendered to clients. It
helps in boosting the sales and efficiency of firm to
obtain maximum satisfaction.
